There is a lot circulating out there about who knew what and when, but you know as well as I do, if Dooley is gone he is building a "resume" with every game he still coaches.
I would assume if he is let go l his coaching career is over. He will get into administration is my guess.
To my original point: he wouldn't have risked his health by getting on the field last night knowing his job was lost.
If and when it happens publicly it will be interesting to see if that is the case. I wonder if UT has some leverage to renegotiate some of the buyout terms.
Just can't see him being officially fired. He's too young in his coaching career to have been "fired" from an SEC school. It's worth it career-wise for him to take, say $3M as a settlement to agree to "Step down" and save face instead of sitting on his $5M and making a bad professional situation even worse.

Also, Dooley will not be officially fired. He will "resign," after negotiating an agreed upon amount that allows him to save face and allows the University to save some money.
Doc, would this saving face fall under... complications with the hip surgery. Seems hard to do at 0-15 versus ranked teams after SCjr.:hi:
