Try reading the part about blowing them out. We lost to Kensucky last year and took a miracle to beat Vandy with EG's pick. Blowing them out is what we used to do.

If you read what I just posted, then you would see that along with 8-5 and not getting beat by 40 by Bama as progress from the last two years.

Look up progress in the dictionary then get back to me.

Im gonna go with the "who" being everybody who has a say in keeping him or not, Boosters, Donors, Hart, Whoever accepts an offer for the job, etc...

It ultimately would come down to "pressure" or decisions from someone who holds the reigns who can help him save his job or someone who might twist the screws to help him leave.

If hart doesn't get exactly who he wants he will not settle for a replacement just to replace Dooley.

The only way Dooley stays is if Hart can't land his guy. And right now, it's only one guy.

If DD is let go it would be in November.

No way Gruden would be the next coach. Why does everyone think he would be a good college coach anyway? His offense is one of the most complicated NFL Os, he has a mediocre NFL record and never recruited.

Just showing off a SB ring will not make kids start running to TN.

:no: Same predicament in Fulmer's last year. The writing is on the wall. No next year. Losing 7 staff members is taking it's toll in a deciding year. Worse yet, he chooses to hang his hat on a CAREER position coach (usually for a reason for that) on D, and switching to a 3/4. That may workable in a first year...but it's piss-poor timing, and that is the No.1 thing torpedoing this season.

I don't think DD would have done that without Hart's backing and support. Dooley isn't dumb, plus Hart gave most all of the new assistants 2 and 3 year deals that will have to paid out.

Terry Fair just stated that he knows for a fact that Gruden is not coming here to coach. Just said it on 100.3 the drive. TIFWIW.
