I'm not saying they don't but I really hope the staff emphasizes to these players all week just how big of a rivalry bama is to us & how much the Third Saturday in October means to each school.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to bring a few former players in to talk to the team about how big the bama game is. Maybe they could even get Al Wilson to give the pregame speech :)

That would be great! It would be awesome if CDD could hook something like that up. I do believe something along those lines will happen, after all it's not like the players and coaches want to struggle....contrary to what some fans believe.

Interesting article up on 247 about Dooley and the players addressing the negativity from the fans. I don't really know what to make of it. On a positive note, a couple players confirmed that this is the closest "team" that UT has had the past two seasons from players to coaches. The players don't think the locker room will be affected like past seasons.

I am so excited to be in Neyland on Saturday. I have loved being a father so far (had our first on the 18th of September) but boy have I missed Knoxville.

They have to make those plays, make those 2 plays and the game turns out different. We should only have 1 loss right now and they know it. They know the fans are pissed, but these guys are tough on themselves too. After the uga game, Bray was crying in the locker room and not because hes a baby. He does care about the team believe it or not.

Don't allow this irrational fanbase to see this rational post. It is all Dooley's fault that those things happened.

I hope people dont leave early if things dont go as planned. Big recruiting weekend, would be awesome if the players and recruits know we're still rooting them on regardless of the situation.

I have the same hope, but I'm not counting on it. People were filing out of the stadium with ten minutes left against FL, and we still had a legitimate shot to win.

I was pretty upset as they left, but hey, I guess they had to get to Tin Roof before the line formed outside. Sad, just sad.

How many points can we put up against Bama? Can we run the ball well?

I think our Oline can hold its own against them.

I think we can put up around 20 or so points.

Just don't see us being able to stop them near enough to give us a shot to win.

the difference is really the move from something like 16.5 to 17 - football score differentials have common breaks and so when it goes over 16.5 to 17 that is really saying they think the other team will beat you by 20 as an 18 point or 19 point differential is rare

the home team generally gets 3 so if we are a 21 point dog that really means vegas thinks UT is 24 points worse than bama and that would be the line on a neutral field

on another note - ericvol i am going to scjr game w/ a few SC friends - we'll have to meet up and do some tailgating
