We also have a 2+ year track record of miserable beats to look at as proof that we may not have to worry about that ONE good game happening.

Honestly , I know JH has a kid , But what really makes you guys think JH CP and TB come out this year ? From the games I have been watching . Its Obvious They all 3 need to stay .

The Doorites are hung up on this being a "one game deal" no matter what side you are on. According to them, Grudenites came to be after one loss. On the other hand, they think if Dooley gets one win over a rival/ranked team, it automatically wipes his slate of poor performances clean and he suddenly becomes Nick Saban.

I agree with you but if the NFL money is there for Hunter, I can't blame him for taking it.

He is on every "big board" out there in the first round....and because draft status is just as much about combines as in game performance. He will be a combine star.

Win over a top 20 team won't hurt.

VN needs to get out of the 90s. We aren't dominant. There are no guaranteed wins with this team.

They have played nobody worth a damn. I wouldn't be shocked if we won , but it makes me feel no better about our situation. Beat Bama or USC. That is showing improvement.

I am not so certain the AD or boosters look at overall W/L numbers at this point in the process. It is hard to gauge what their level of tolerance really is. I think we are still showing so many what should be easily correctable problems that "continuous improvement" should be readily apparent week to week (e.g., tackling, dropped passes, etc.) I am not necessarily all in on this coaching staff but we are about where I expected to be at this point. If we have a "train wreck" at this point much the same as last season then all bets are off. I still do not see Gruden coming to K'ville though.

Bring on Gruden. We have had enough scars with dooley as coach. Dooley is a good person not coach though. Go vols!

Patterson could stick around. I don't think he is mentally ready. Not sure this staff can help that though. He is a natural talent. He won't stay IMO because he won't have the grades.
