This Dave Hart drama could not come at a worse time for the Grudenite faithful.
I had been told of this dissatisfaction many alumni of influence had for Hart early last week.
If the leadership in the AD is in question, it's going to be tough to land a big time replacement coach.
Problem is....if his future here is in limbo, he'll be hamstrung to make any change.....nobody will sign off.
I'm hearing tempers are very high right now.
Started to ask, what did I miss? Sounds like a pretty deep conversation...Don't think I like how this Hart deal is sounding..Got a bad feeling, sorry Grudenites.
Please don't interpret this as me giving up b/c I am NOT a quitter.
Seems like the timing for any adveristy is always at the WORST time.:cray:
This was going to happen, inevitably IMO. I don't really have an opinion in Hart one way or the other....I just know what I've heard, and that is he's made some enemies.
It's thought by some that this could eventually bring down Cheek.
I just wanted this coaching thing settled before the heavy lifting started. I don't want to miss our window.
Who knows....maybe it all blows over. We'll see.
I agree on Hart b/c I Know nothing about him except he came from Bama.
My concern is missing our window of opportunity to hire Gruden..Feel like he is ours for the taking, if that makes sense.
Hopefully it will blow over and disagreements amongst Hart and company will be settled....If nothing else Hart should be given a chance to make that "homerun" hire to redeem himself..IMO, he could help himself a lot there.:twocents:
The problem I see is the embarassment this lawsuit is going to bring to the University. That's not good for anyone....and due to its nature the embarassment is seemingly unavoidable, no matter who's right. It's going to be very public.
Hopefully he'll be allowed the latitude to conduct a search/ negotiations. My concern is what coach will listen if his future is in jeopardy.
