No offense to AK, but if he makes a decision based on what a few random Internet posters say about him, he's not so bright. I like to think he's smarter than that, but who knows.
What is that? Really? Why did you even post that? You were doing good until you had to put the spin on it...
:clapping:..... Hello......
I just find it interesting to think that a recruit wouldn't care that the fanbase that they will be playing to entertain doesn't have a bearing on their decision to attend a school. Honestly, being a football player for a bunch of fans that will constantly spew vitriol about me would be a turn off.
Now, it shouldn't be the only factor, or even a major one, but you have to be real that you would rather play ball in a town where the fans support you - even in a loss - rather than a place where every time you make a mistake you become a pariah.
Imo hes in a sticky spot. At UGA he red shirts and backs up marshel once gurley goes pro after 3 years. then starts RS Jr and beyound. And theres a great chance he could get over recruited there. Bama is the same thing only worse. Oregon is to far. that leaves: us and maby FSU, Auburn, SC idk. I think hes a good back that is in a pickel. cause OCI says green and turman are all but locked up.
After seeing gurley and Marshall, there is no way I would sign with uga in 2013 if I am a runningback, but that's just me
Or you see a staff that is not afraid to play you as a true Freshman. Anything can happen on the field on any play.
AK seems like a very smart kid. I think he's looking for the right fit. He has said it before, competition is everywhere.
I know the counter arguments. I stand by my statement. :hi:
Also, there is a difference between competition, and possibly the best two runningbacks in the conference being one year ahead of you
We'll see because being the No.3 at UGA is what he'll be here starting out.
Lane, Neal, maybe D.Green(hopefully), and Kamara.
Senior Neal and Junior Lane won't go down the depth chart easy.
But I do agree Gurley and Marshall will be hard to steal carries from.
He'd be the #2 here when Neal leaves, IMO, if we get Green. By their sophomore year, AK and DG would be 1/2. I guess it comes down to whether waiting 1 or 2 years to be getting a lot of snaps is important. If he's ok waiting, I think he goes to UGA. TG/KM are good enough that their knowledge of the offense and experience means AK won't be passing them on the depth chart, and that's no knock on him. They're all similar, so it's not like he has the different style going for him either.
