OK, I am not going to say I miss Wilcox's bend don't break D- because like an earlier poster said, it will get you beat in the SEC. The thing I did notice last night was the positive attitude/leadership/mental toughness, Wash's D had the entire game. These guys made the most with what talent they had and truly believed they could stop Stan's run O and weren't worried or intimidated by a #8 ranking or coming off a win against USC. You could see them talking to each other on the field and on the sidelines, firing each other up, having that positive attitude that fostered a win. I don't know if Wilcox/Sermon had anything to do with it, but in my opinion that is one of the biggest things this ENTIRE team lacks-- we are a mentally soft team that can seem to deal/adjust to ups and downs during a game. (example- FL and ALL last year) I am assuming this has got to be a coaching issue, which makes you wonder what a coaching staff with that skill set could have been doing all along with the raw talent we have on this team. Thoughts???
