'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

both of them are going to be very good. They way it looks though.. Green may have a more promising college career. Especially if Henry ends up at Bammer. He'll sit behind their already stout RB depth, while Green likely starts year one wherever he goes. If they somehow both end up here.. well there are your number 1 and 2 backs. We've had backs both go for 1,000 in one season and we won a LOT of games. Hopefully it comes true, but a Turman/Green combo would be seriously special.

Any 2 of those three would be a recruiting victory for the Vols. Couple that w/ the speculation that Bray & Hunter may leave early and we may see Tennessee go back to a run 1st philosophy.

Does everyone still prefer green over henry? I dont know about that one...

Yeah i've always wanted Henry, There's a Green in every class, but Henry is a freak of nature, he's got Bo Jackson measurables, you don't see a 242 lb RB that runs a 4.4 every year. I can understand why people would rather have Green, he's a more traditional RB and less of a risk to outgrow the position, but DH could be a once in a lifetime talent.

I've been leaning toward Green but blackmarket has converted me. I would love for Henry to come in and develop into a 6'3 260 pound RB that runs a low 4.6 to 4.5. If he was that size and ran a 4.4 :loco: idc what his measureables are if he can carry his weight well. I can see why people think he shouldn't be a RB but i also see thoses people wishing they hadn't recruited him as an Hb or LB.

If Henry wants to play RB and is honest with himself( as in he will get a chance to be a RB at bama but...not really) he will pick UT. But many think hes bamer bound. Poor kid giving up his dreams if true lol. Not the ones about playing in the NFL but as a RB in the NFL.

My only question is, did you Jon "bones" Jones him or what? Lol

I'll put it to you like this we've got mutual respect for one another now. :) I've got pretty good punching power so it helped me survive a 100+ pound weight advantage. I will say this though, it was good that I had strong legs because he was trying to sling me around like a rag doll. Not fun man. Lol

He's not close to Bo Jackson man. Bo was a true freak of nature. Had he not gotten hurt he would've been an All-Time Great in the NFL.

Never know, could mean anything. Him taking the official this weekend may just mean he is ready to end his recruitment now. Maybe he will pick Bama while he is there this week. Maybe he is ready to pick UT and would not need to take another visit to Bama. As you said, it could be a cash flow thing as well. I would think if he were running low on cash, he would visit Auburn or Clemson though.

LMFAO @ Auburn or Clemson:eek:lol:

Ok, maybe not that level, but you still don't get kids that big with that kind of speed every class, there's always a couple RB's that are 5'11 215 that run a 4.4-4.5, but one that's 242lbs that runs a 4.45 lazered? That's pretty rare.

OK, yep, Henry isn't on Bo's level, he was before my time so i never actually got to watch him play, but i just read on wiki that he ran a 4.12 40 (handtimed) at the NFL combine. I can't bring myself to believe that, but it's crazy anyway.

Will there be anywhere online to watch his game from tonight? I'd sure like to see what 510 yards rushing looks like..

Be happy we witnessed the likes of Bo, Herschel, Cobb, Webb, Marcus, Barry and several others in our lifetime. Youngsters just get to watch them on grainy highlight reels.

Cobb and Webb were that caliber of back? Wow. I'm only 37. Don't go back as far as some.

This is from another site this morning. Still have not seen the 247 article but 3 sites are saying UOV for Henry.FWIW

Derrick Henry (6-3, 240) will be making an unofficial trip to Tuscaloosa.
