ESPN3 just updated and the UT-NCSU game is officially blacked out on the Eastern half of the US, just changed since yesterday.

I thought it had been that way for a few days. Or, it was that way earlier this week. Did they change it to something else at some point? What did it say yesterday?

Saw this on another board. I don't know if it will work or not but you can try.

First and foremost you must have a log-in for you internet provider.
1. Got to espn 3 and click Remote Access then click OK.
2. Go to downloads.cnet.com and download hotspot shield and yes it's free.
3. Install it
4. Open it and connect
5. Go back to Espn 3 and it will ask you to sign in with your internet provider.
6. Sign-in
7. Your watching the game!!!!!!

So this will work for the UT game? I'm concerned because there's a pretty good chance my wife goes into labor in the next few days. Already been to the hospital for a false alarm. And I know UT Med Center doesn't have ESPN U. The fact I live in Knoxville and even have the slightest concern I can get the game is an effing joke.

Congrats and good luck....early.

1.) Download Hotspot Shield

2.) Turn Hotspot Shield On.
(Note: this will put an ad banner on your sites while HSS is running but it can be closed)

3.) Log in to ESPN 3.
(You may have to confirm your ISP.. i.e AT&T, Comcast, etc)

4.) Use the Remote Access Option.

5.) Watch the game.

Haha count me in as well. Been to the Dr twice now for false alarms. Hang on two more days buddy, I'll add an extra dollar to your allowance when it's time!

So this doesn't apply to me as I have ESPNU, but hypothetically if someone were to use a proxy could they fool the ESPN3 site into thinking they were in a non blacked out state?

Can I stream ESPNU for free or do I have to have a subscription? If so I'll have to go to BWW.

You need it to be part of your cable package. There are alternative methods listed earlier in the thread, but I plan on going to a bar for the better quality video and the community feel.
