The Golf Thread

If I pay hundreds of bucks to play a championship course & it will in all likelihood be the only time playing it you can bet I will snap a few pics. Slow play is part of the game for a lot of reasons. I'd rather play behind some hacks that at least get to the ball & hit it even if they are holding it up a bit than have a guy in my group take all day hitting the ball.

The cumulative effect of this point is why Pebble has become unplayable.

Anyone who's played a course like it knows it comes with the territory. The people in front of us were slow because they were hitting it in the sand dunes, not because they were snapping photos while their playing partners were teeing off.

I've played it.

Because you know.

No I've never played pebble but I can only assume the experts that run it like yourself have the foresight to realize if they let any hack out there to play that a 4 hour round is virtually impossible. Surely tee times are adjusted as well. Heaven forbid a person travel a couple thousand miles & probably drop at least that much in cash to play a once in a lifetime course & not take a few pics.

The experts that run it don't give a shat about the quality of the golf. Talk brain surgery, or something else that you know equally well.

You should back off of knowing nothing of which you speak, particularly golf. You've been proven a know nothing repeatedly.

At what? Example? I bet you're the only person that would want to travel across the country to play a world class course in 3 hours. Do you make a living playing golf? Do you make a living giving Internet advice?

Here's a photo I took on 14. Even though there's a group on the green, I'm clearly a terrible golfer, holding up play.

Earth to community college - not everyone travels cross country to play Pebble. Hell, there are even people who live in Monterey.

Surely you could tell I wasn't talking about them. I'm sure the old coot regulars can get their scramble together anytime since nobody travels to play there.
