I like the idea of Wade Davis. He can do both, an has been good out of the pen.

I'd be very happy with this, but I don't think the Rays have any interest in dealing him.

This has been the best move all along. Trade for a reliever, move Medlen to the rotation, add a bat. Now isn't the time to push all the chips into the middle of the craps table.

Our buddy Dave O'Brien apparently still thinks the basic framework of the deal that the Braves and Cubs had is still in place, at least potentially.

While the initial trade was ludicrous enough, if it was indeed Delgado for dempster, there is no way frank still traded Delgado for dempster a week later with all the leverage. I would be absolutely stunned.

That would be sad when he obviously doesn't wanna be with the Braves. Also, he isn't worth Delgado at all.

I heard that the original trade has been retracted (Delgado) and the Cubs are trying to get the same trade offersheet back. Maybe Wren came to his senses.

This. The Dodgers have taken their top 3 or four guys off the table, which means no way Delgado should be included. He shouldn't have been to begin with.

I think that the Braves organization is A) not very good at realistically evaluating how good they are, and B) under some pressure to make a move to go for a title in Chipper's last year. That's a dangerous combination.
