I just don't like that they keep playing with Medlen's role.. The last time they did that crap he tore his UCL.. They stretched him out and then threw him in the bullpen when they called him back up, now they are starting him? IMO, they should have started him out of spring training but I don't think they need to keep playing with his elbow like this.

The more I think about it, the more I would love to add Jamie Shields.

Four Reasons:

1) Experienced pitcher who has been there before.

2) Signed through 2013 and his contract his worth his value.

3) He's an innings eater, something Atlanta desperately needs.

4) He's been a solid starter in the AL East. I think he'd thrive in ATL.

I like Shields too, but the Rays are gonna have to lower their asking price.

I say this every night it seems like. They better figure out how to beat them head to head, because it doesn't seem like they will get much help. Especially with the division not really being that good besides the top two teams.

Chipper kinda disappointed tonight. Kimbrel came in with his 97 mph pitch and closed it nicely. Game flew by. Got to see Ludicrous in the stands on the jumbotron. Saw fans that were wearing Reds, Cardinals, and Red Sox jerseys...tourists.
