It is concerning that he kicks it very low. And those numbers are not taking into account where Dooley just went for it on 4th down because he had zero confidence in Palardy.

In 6 or so games I looked up. Only FGs we passed up when in range were 5 50+ range kicks, 1 from 4th down on the 1 and 2 against Georgia when we were down 20-6 against Georgia in the 4th (both on same drive too). So I don't see much of the lack in confidence by Dooley.

then you don't watch the games

This kid is probably a long shot. These sanctions will not really affect a Kicker, and with only two years left or 1 year left of school, it wouldnt make much sense. Add to that 4 members of his family graduated from PSU.

Would be nice to have but my guess would be he stays.

Apparently he handled all kicking duties at PSU. Im assuming this is a long shot, but let's say he comes here. Would he do all 3 here, or focus on fg kicking and Palardy move to punter full time? From the looks of it Fera is more accomplished as a punter.

We passed up a FG from less than 25 yards at the end of the Vandy game last year (immediately after missing same).

Halfway true. Kick was blocked and roughing the kicker was called. Ball was moved to the 2 yard line and Dooley decided to go for the score. Good thing too, as we would have lost with a FG.

Tell UAB a kicker doesn't lose or win you games...

Just for confidence it makes a huge difference. Players thinking "we have to get to the 30" not "we have do this all ourselves and drive 80 yards in 30 seconds"

Just think if we had palardy in 04 against florida instead of willhoit. No way were confident enough to drive for just field goal range. And doubtful we win

Florida-Started 5 of 9 drives on the 30 yard line or better. Those 5 positions accounted for 16 of their 23 points.

Auburn- We left 4 points on the board due to our kicking game (1 pat, 1 fg), we lost by 4 points. It doesn't matter if it wasn't the last play of the game, we still left 4 points.

Florida - Of the five drives you referenced, these are the four they scored on: 1. Started on our 30, due to a 50 yard kickoff return from Brandon James and a 15-yard penalty; 2. Started on their 37 after a 30 yard kickoff return from Brandon James; 3. Started at their 35 after an interception; 4. Started at their 31 after a 39 yard punt on 4th and 20 with no return.

Which of these do you blame on the kicker? Maybe our kickoff team on the first one? But IIRC, Brandon James was a decent returner.

Auburn - I guess you can keep telling yourself what you want. Most anyone would look at that game and say that kicking was not the reason we lost. Auburn's kicker missed one just before the half that led to our only scoring drive in the first half, if that helps at all.

If we have to use another scholarship on a kicker we may be known as Kicker U from now on. If Bullock can't get the job done then Dooley screwed the pooch on him. If we have to give another kicker a scholarship that will just be ridiculous unless Dooley is able to talk Palardy into leaving. Having four kickers on scholarship would be unheard of.

anyone hear something about schools being able to go over the 85 limit this season with PSU transfers but will lose a 'ship next year for each player they sign?

The only thing I have read about Bullock is that he was recruited for kickoffs. I have never heard anything about him punting and kicking field goals.

If we land Redd, I can't imagine there's a better offense in the SEC than UT
