Hell, its better than calling a drunk frat boy off the couch.

This guy is 100% worth pursuing.

His transfer could give Bullock a redshirt year and we could have space for TN K. J. Medley next year.

Maybe he wouldn't be that big of a factor, but as we all know, one missed kick can change a game or a season. (Bama) (UNC)

Handful under Dooley could've been wins with the belief that we would have gotten 3 points instead of a turnover in the "Orange" zone (interceptions, on downs, etc.) Getting the extra point after every touchdown would've helped some (UNC comes to mind)

3 games we lost due to kicking in 2009:

Florida- averaged 39 yards per punt, and got killed in the field position game.

Auburn- lost by 4 points, missed 1 field goal and 1 pat.

Alabama- I think we all remember that one.

Palardy - 7 missed FGs in his career

Distances - 37, 42, 45, 45, 46, 51, 52

Care to compare those to other Frosh/ Sophs out there?

Not saying he is great, but the hate is really outstanding.

It is concerning that he kicks it very low. And those numbers are not taking into account where Dooley just went for it on 4th down because he had zero confidence in Palardy.

Florida - Wrong. We started zero drives inside of our twenty with one starting on their side of the field. They started every drive, but one on their side of the field. Their scoring drives averaged an even 50 yards per drive, including the one they started on our side of the field which was a ten yard drive for a field goal. Averaging 39 yards per punt does not cost you a game at the college level.

Auburn - We lost by 4 points, because we scored a TD, literally on the last play of the game, in which we went 79 yards in 39 seconds. Wonder why we didn't just do that the whole game??? Lincoln missed his FG on the first drive of the game, and the PAT was blocked in the first half as well. Cunningham had a huge game that night, averaging 42 per punt with FOUR inside the 20. That helped keep us in range the whole night.

Bama game, of course we all remember that.

"Touch the leg"? Not sure that is the best term to use when speaking about Penn State from here on out.

I would love it if we got a kicker. Feels like field position from poor punting, inconsistency from Pallardy, and Lincoln kicking it no more than 4 feet off the ground have been instrumental in us losing quite a few games the last few years.

Ahh, so you know it was cause he had no confidence? Low kicks are caused by kicking too high on the ball, leg fatigue can cause that. He has been doing almost all the kicking.

Like I said, he hasn't been great, but the hate is really unwarranted. He has been average. Jeff Hall was average too starting out.

Yeah, but most of those FG's he passed up on would have been from around 50 yards out. Sure, really good/great college kickers make those most of the time these days. Just because he's not a great college kicker doesn't automatically mean he sucks. Maybe we get this other kid, but if we don't, I still think Palardy will have an ok season for us.

Florida-Started 5 of 9 drives on the 30 yard line or better. Those 5 positions accounted for 16 of their 23 points.

Auburn- We left 4 points on the board due to our kicking game (1 pat, 1 fg), we lost by 4 points. It doesn't matter if it wasn't the last play of the game, we still left 4 points.

We haven't been in situations where our kickers have had the opportunity to blow games i.e. we haven't played close games lately.. and they have simply been part of the contributing issues, now that our offense and defense are starting to improve, the games will be closer and Palarady and Darr will be obvious problems, more so than now. I have zero faith in Palarady kicking a game winner. None. I get nervous when he lines up for a extra point. Dude has zero lift on his kicks. Which is a huge problem.

Almost cost us that Vandy game. Luckily Rogers and Bray made a great play on that fade route for the 2 pt.

We passed up a FG from less than 25 yards at the end of the Vandy game last year (immediately after missing same).
