If.......if......then

Kentucky basketball is a booming business.

Good answer! Booming business have reason for celebration. I am guessing they even had a very nice one in lexington recently. When is our celebration scheduled in knoxville? I can't wait to attend it and celebrate our booming business!

Thanks. They had to blast that sucka 25 times. Pissing blood, and fragments, but it's much better than having it stuck like it was.

Darn Goat I hate to read your having these troubles. Hope you get over them!

That blows... Did they ever say what you could do to prevent them?

Not until I take the fragments in, and he will be able to analyze what kind it is. When that happens, he will give me the appropriate medicine/ dietary orders. I really do appreciate you checking on me.

I remember Bernie Maddoff and Kenneth Lay having a few good celebrations. I read about a multi-million dollar toga party Lay threw for his wife's birthday one year.

If Petrino is your kind of coach, then these would be the guys you would want running your company.

Do you think Donald Trump had any similar celebrations? Is he a successful business man? A model man of character that could teach us all a thing or two about marriage?

The point is that moral character doesn't have any connection to success or failure in business or the athletic worlds. You show me one scum bag that succeeds and I will show you one that doesn't. I don't use athletics at the University of Tenn to enrich my morality. There is a much Higher being for that. I use UT athletics for the enjoyment of fellowship with others and the thrill of victory. The character of those running the programs or those playing the games is really of no interest to me as long as it doesn't interfere with the teams ability to win. I understand that all humans have faults and I will choose to get my character development from something bigger than the head coach of a sports team or business leader.

When all that matters is winning, it doesn't matter how you get there. If that is your idea of success, I'll stop trying to reason with you.

To quote the late Ann Landers, "If you have class, you've got it made. If you don''t have class, no matter what else you have, it won't make up for it."

Sorry volly. As much as I wish it wasn't true for every Tim Tebow there are 5 Ben Roethlisbergers or OJ Simpsons. High character doesn't equate to success just as being a scum bag doesn't insure failure on the playing fields.

No, but I don't want scum representing something I love. To me that's not winning. Just my personal opinion.

Same here. Without a doubt. Well minus orgeron.

FANTASTIC GOAT!!!! There are very few on here that know the pain that you have been through.

Kinda like watching Bruin continue to impress his flawed opine on the rest of VN by just continually beating us about the head and shoulders with it. Kinda feels like a wet towel dipped in the commode.....Just wet, slimy and disgusting.

Way to take a quote out of context. Bruin you are a West Coast Kiffin troll. Why don't you go play on the beach and leave talking about our coach to us.....

1) For a lot of the student athletes at the University of Tennessee and other institutes (ARKANSAS), the coaches are a big moral compass for them and may be one of the biggest moral influences on their entire lives.
2) Unfortunately, many kids no longer recognize the Good Lord for a moral compass.
3) What you use UT athletics for is your business. For many of us that live in and around Knoxville and those of us who graduated from UT, that have spouses that graduated from UT, that have kids that graduated from UT, that have parents that graduated from UT, etc. (I HOPE you get the drift), an above average team with NO off field issues is a GOOD thing. I love to win, but I also know how to lose (comes with being a UT fan for a long time). I too love the fellowship and fun on Saturday's, but those brief 12 or 13 afternoon's in the fall DO NOT make up the entire season. If they did, this site would only be active from the first of Sept to mid Jan. Out football team is here year round. And those of us that love the University, live in Knoxville, and send our kids here want the leaders of both the University and it's Athletic programs to act like they have a moral compass stitched to their backs. I didn't like it when Pearl got a mistress and divorced his wife but that was his business. If it had blown into the deal that Petrino's has by putting the program in a big legal mess, I would have wanted him gone because then it effects all those who support the University monetarily; namely donors, those who pay tuition, and the taxpayers of the state.
4) Your arguments for hiring a head coach or a business leader with no moral compass really points a finger back at you.

Sorry if it upsets you, but it's my opine and like most it stinks.

IF BP is fired at Arkansas

IF DD doesn't get it done this year(I have and will support him believing he will succeed this year)

Then BobbyP will be our coach in 2013 IMO.

I may very well be in the minority but that would be a home run if 2012 isn't a year that warrants DD returning.
