Oranges and apples.

One sport is complex and requires the recruitment and development of players over several years to be successful. NO ONE wins championships in competitive leagues with underclassmen. The other sport has a limited number of physical skills that have to be mastered. It has been repeatedly demonstrated that teams of young talented players can win championships.


How is pointing out that football is not like basketball making an "excuse"? It is stupid to even try to make the argument that Martin's success such as it is is proof of ANYTHING regarding Dooley.

And note, I STILL have not said that Dooley will succeed. I have just demonstrated that your "logic"... isn't logical.

Easy Bruno. Even the Mods now, all but require posters to be DD worshipers. The board used to be so much better.

Look I'll type slower for you. Both are head coaches. Both are on there 2nd job. Both came into a job with turmoil. They both have records. One has a winning record at both schools and one has a losing record at both schools.

No, people who make it a point to take every opportunity to bash our coach are trolls. You don't' have to support Dooley to be a fan of UT, but it's obvious to everyone Volbeef has an agenda and is a troll.

Volbeef has been a long time contributor to this board and is a lot more respected than anyone posting in this thread - he's definitely not a troll even if you guys can't stand him and his feelings about Dooley.

You support DD = Sunshine Pumper.

You're taking the "wait to see what he does this season before you give final judgement" approach = Sunshine Pumper

You don't agree with VolBeef or (now, applarently) BMB...Sunshine Pumper.

question: anyone who feels martin is a better coach than dooley do you believe they were both handed programs in the same condition? imo it's impossible to really compare the two because the sports are very different especially when it comes to turning around a program.
