Another THP Officer shows his true colors

In any career field in the world I can find people who aren't good at their jobs. Who act unprofessional and sometimes make bad decisions. Absolutely any job. The difference is that with those folks in the law enforcement profession deal the everyone in the public. Not just a few select customers.

To add, leos are held to a higher standard and should be due to their power to take away freedom from someone.

And like I stated before people don't go tell all their friends and family about the cop who acted appropriately. They don't put those stories on the news.

Me thinks bama has forcefully had a billy stick up the rectum at some point. Only explanation I can gather from the constant LE hate.

I would prefer an honest dialoque from bama about the lawn tractor/gun point story and the medical emergency/trooper in the radar hole not responding to help.

You used the word "honest". Bamacheats is either unable or unwilling to be truthful. Your dialogue, with the qualifier of honesty, will never happen.

I was unable to quote bamacheats response from my phone.

Again, you apply a small fraction to the whole. LEOs salaries have been increasing. When I started at OSU it was at 51000, OHP, roughly the same. VSP, it is initially lower but after training and escalators it will be close to those numbers.

The national median average salary for a patrol officer is 49875. Breaking the bank, no, enough to live on, of course. Take a study of leos as a whole, not a small county in Tennessee, or Kpd, oh thp.

Furthermore, why the personal attacks and drivel when you respond to posters?

This helps to prove my point. $50+k is unfair compensation imo for someone who's job is dangerous enough to require a gun. I can't believe any LEO would argue that, but you may think that's enough $$$ for leaving the house and not knowing for a certainty that you'll come back. I think it should be double that.

You constantly call me a bigot and ask about personal attacks?

You're gonna hear 10x more about the 1 negative experience someone had with a cop than the 25 good/non-eventful experiences put together.

That's why restaurants go to such extremes to satisfy an unhappy customers(free meals, deserts, ect...). People will tell 10x more people about a bad experience than they will a positive one.

Getting a burnt meal at Outback is a bit different than getting killed by a bad cop.

Pricks everywhere

I wish everyone would ride along and see how LE are treated by members of society

I have been on both sides. I have been stopped by ******* cops that had no idea I was LE.

One time, for doing 5 mph over the speed limit. I never write anyone until they are 15 mph over, unless its in a school zone or construction zone

Anyway, dude walks up all BBA and asks for my ID. Asks what right I have speeding through HIS town. I let him talk his ****( he weighed 150 soaking wet) and then I lit into his ass. Told him that I wanted to speak with his supervisor and that if I caught one of our officers talking to people like that, I would give them a little 3 day unpaid vacation to think it over. Thats when he realized he had opened a can of ****. I even wanted him to write me a ticket so I could own his smartass in court

Be nice until its no longer time to be nice. I never talk down to people and I dont let them talk down to me. If you are nice to me, I will be super nice to you and do anything to help you out. But dont get an attitude. I dont deal with atitude.

I have never talked to an officer like that and I'm the one who hates cops! Go figure!

Allow me to disagree with you for a moment. The person you were referencing, bamacheats, will never get it. Never. He is the type of person that makes up lies about other people just to make himself better.

You were right about everything else you typed.

Big boy with the personal attack. Hypocrite?

One of the reasons LE is undercompensated.

Since someone obviously doesn't realize what an analogy is I'll dumb it down for.

In any situation, whether it be dealing with the police or eating out. People are 10x more likely to whine to their friends and family about a bad experience than they are to compliment a good one.

So for every bad story you hear about LE(or a burnt steak for that matter) there's probably 1000 stories of professional cops that never get told.

I also don't know why I bothered typing that either cause we both know you knew exactly was I meant you were just being a prick.

Also for the 100th time... In this situation no one was killed by a bad cop.

No one is defending the kid, the cops are defending the cop. Started by saying "well if he hadn't ..." and mad that the parents are filing a wrongful death.

I never said anything about defense of either side. But still you quoted me. Which cop is defending the actions of the Trooper?

Here's the first.

bamacheats said:
Another, with the added detail if drunk.
bamacheats said:
Another. This time the added detail of an innocent bystander who's life was saved.

None of these people are cops. Neither am I. Why do you make up lies?

Your viewpoint is bigoted, apparently you are incapable of understanding this.

Personal attacks would be when you said I lived in a fantady world, I live in candy land, Im a screen writer for tv, Im TJ Hooker, countless times you have accused me of lying.

100000 is just, why?

No one said otherwise. The problem is with concluding that he was drunk without evidence to back it up.

In all reality it doesn't matter if he was drunk. That would just be one less mistake in a monumental series of bad ones.

So was the cop not even charged with leaving the scene of an accident or anything? Loss of job is a weak punishment. I think his lack of action is criminal.
