If CP ends up being a VFL, I don't think I will be able to make it to Sept. With CP on the team, the potential of our offense would almost be unheard of. Even if we don't get him, having DR and JH on the field together is a true luxury. But even a non-VFL can see how special our offense could be with him. You would think that's one of Hinshaw's main selling points. Letting him know that the opportunity of having that much talent on the field together doesn't come very often. I also think having the last in-home is very good news for us, but we will find out soon enough. VFL!

No, it wouldn't be funny, Skeet! Come on, man! How funny would this be...Santos flips to Texas on Sunday, and then signs with us on Wednesday just to drive his point across to Texas for looking over him for so long? A man can dream, right? :)

Another interesting thing to think about with CP...remember that we were out of it for a long time. Do you guys remember when all of a sudden we became a player again?...when Arnett and Milton left. Granted, I don't think that Milton was ever going to be a factor; however, I wonder if CP started to really look at the roster and realize that outside of Hunter and Rogers, we have A LOT of young, inexperienced or less-talented guys. I think he is starting to see how much his stock rises playing in our offense along side Hunter and Rogers with Bray throwing the ball.

Figured as much.. The whole 'e-cred' thing amuses me.. I've said this more than once, the only people that should be taking any of this serious are the coaches and the players.. At the present time it is their life.. I'm no insider.. I offer nothing more than my opinion.. Other than being a life long UT fan this whole thing is entertainment for me.. I admit at times I do let the arrogance and stupidity of others rile me... I need to work on that...

I am just not feeling this one. Typically if we are going to land a guy, there is some chatter going around. Here it just seems like people think we are a major player because we were in the past.

I think one of the new players, Ole Miss or LSU will land him.

Been plenty of positive chatter. Skeeter and Fortenberry have said very positive things but follow it up with "I won't believe anything until the LOI is signed and faxed".

So reading between the lines it seems CP has likely told the staff he's going to be a Vol. The reason there isn't a ton of excitement yet is because CP has been so hard to read and a couple other schools feel pretty good about landing him as well. JMO

They've never lacked a QB that did during Miles time there. Miles' teams succeed in spite of him. On more than one occasion players have said as much while still in the program or immediately after finishing.

It has been a weird recruitment to say the least.

Hey thunder, just for fun...where do we finish if we land Davis, Kirven, Patterson and Leggett? And how about if those minus Patterson?
