That's unfortunate, I am confident in us landing Kirven and Davis. I wish there was one more spot for CP. Hinshaw has been on him and it makes sense to come here. With Rodgers leaving next year (likely) then CP will be huge.

If Patterson doesn't come here, it's not because we turned him away. Even if there are academic concerns, we take him...no doubt about it.

Well..these guys have been told how great they are, and they become arrogant and develop this "hey, look at me" attitude..Not all of them are like that though..Some recrutis don't want all the drama.

You ain't kidding man. I have always been a fan of players who are less flash and more substance. That's why J Hunter has been my favorite recruit for a while. Act like you belong. And do it professionally. Scouts pay attention to that kinda stuff as well.

I sure hope we get the last visit. Patterson is elite and I think it goes without saying but I'd love for him to play here. Even if it's just a year.

It has been said many times, but to reiterate this AGAIN...if Davis, Patterson, AND Kirven all 3 want to come to UT, then we WILL make room...PERIOD!! Do any of you seriously think that DD will not tell someone that they need to be a preferred walk-on or grey shirt until next year, in order to make room for one of these 3?? Do you remember the quotes directly from Tino Thomas about his greyshirt? He didn't even know what it was until DD asked him if he would greyshirt (and this was after all of the LOIs had been sent in). This proves that even though DD never mentioned to Tino the possibility of greyshirting, it was a possibility in DD's eyes if we landed some recruits that we needed. Tino was injured and needed surgery and would be out anyways this year, so he was willing to do it once explained the situation. If you want to be a Vol, then you will do whatever possible to help the team be better and bring us back to elite status...Tino did this last year. If all 3 of these guys want to sign with us, then it will make us a better team, and someone will be asked to walk on or greyshirt or whatever, in order to free up that final spot. Simple as that. You don't turn down this kind of talent when you are trying to rebuild a program back to elite status.

Very simple answer. You lost to a UK team that was playing a WR at the QB position. Sorry to tell you but it seems you had a lot more issues than just injuries at key positions.
If you watched that game, and compare it with the level of play in the Cincinnati game (who, by the way, is leagues better than KY was), it was only a shell of a team. Losses wear on a teams morale and will to compete. That team just mailed it in. I hated it, and have been mad at Dooley for letting it happen, but to some degree that is how it is. Success gains its own momentum, and conversely, so does losing.

I'm sure you are aware of plenty occasions where your dawgs had a disappointing season and didn't play some teams as hard as you think they should have. I can name some for you if you'd like (does the name Kiffin ring a bell?).

The moral of the story here is, this is a much, much better team than the record would indicate. And if we can keep key players relatively healthy (although we will have more depth and experience behind them), the SEC is going to see that first hand, this fall.
