Jones is a 2012 class PG rated 88 on espn. 3* rivals
Lists TN as school of interest but don't think we've offered.

Yea the offers he has received aren't all that impressive, Murray state being the best. IIRC he's receiving more and more interest it seems though from bigger school, seton hall, bc maybe not sure on the others. I feel if we offered he probably would pick us but I'm sure we are still evaluating.

Edit: seton hall has offered. Nc state and wake forest are also showing interest but are yet to offer. Could be something to watch.

Here is Scout's updated Class of 2013 rankings. We are listed by 10 players, most in the Top 50, including #27 FL PG (yay!) Solomon Poole from Jacksonville.

Scout.com: Men's Basketball Recruiting

This class has the potential to be huge. I honestly think unless something big roster wide happens this off season, that the 2013 class will decide the future of this team under Martin. May be to bold of a statement but with the number of scholarships available, and the talent that's interested I don't think it's an unfair statement.

I am at work on a web filter. Is GA TECH in on him too?

no. according to scout auburn, georgia, florida, kentucky, south carolina, and tennessee all-sec. i do find it interesting that ccm is on him, says weaknesses are true pg and passing, isnt that our current problem? that was also the weaknesses on madison jones the '12 pg that visited recently, kind of confusing. and with poole only being 5 11 i dont see him being recruited as a sg, weird.

CCM obviously has confidence in his ability to coach players up and mold them into what he wants out of them.

I think we will really find out by how this team grows in the offseason.

The off season is gonna be very interesting to say the least. Who's coming and whose going, does he being in any surprises, how well does he develop certain players, and do we see attitudes change?

The offseason should result in a lot of character building and if I were in Martin's shoes I would have the team doing all kinds of team building activities with the S&C coach as well. Help them grow as a unit and then let them perform individual coaching with someone like tobais or CJ Watson.

Very curious who, if anyone opts to leave the program. I have said this all along if you wanna roll with golden at the PG, which I'm fine with ad judging by the PG ccm is recruiting doesn't mind a score first guy, then you let him and your assistant former great Wisconsin pg Tracy Webster works together as much as possible. When it's a dead period and they can't send his behind to Steve Nash PG camp, golden has a grey work ethic and I fully believe if putting his mind to and given the resources can become a very good PG. Hell a name you said cj Watson, have golden work some with him as well. JMO

I wonder if he elects to keep the off season exposure for the team by utilizing the RTL, or if he scraps it to take that streetball element out of the players heads. I, for one, thoroughly enjoy getting to see the incoming talent in a raw form and get to talk to the players and hope we keep doing it.

he was all for it last year when he came in and talked at length about how he thought it was good for the players to play in a league like that. so with those comments i really doubt he turns around and tells the players they cant play in the league.

The way we have reverted to crap ball at times has to be something that has entered his mind though. IMO this program needs something in the offseason to keep the team in the casual fans mind while they are salivating over the start of FB season. I really hope he still feels the same way

definitely agree it has improved the interest level in basketball by garnering the interest of the casual fan as you said. it also provides you with an up close meet and greet atmosphere with players who have played professionally where else can you do that. hell i remember pissing in the urinal a couple years ago and jajaun smith walking up next to me, i was like wtf im pissing next to a guy who was in mav's camp.

Boo Williams from ETSU who plays professionally in Europe was probably my favorite non-UT player to talk to. He was such a nice guy, and really took some of our younger post players under his wing. I also like seeing Tony White Jr play. I really wish we would've offered him.

yea boo was one of my favorites too. besides the fact that he is ridiculously good, as you said he is a very nice and humble guy and tries to teach and help the young guys from UT.

I liked seeing Scotty go up against JP Primm too with the underlying story and all. JP was Scotty's PG in AAU. Primm is a great mid-major player as well
