Those statues are great arent' they? They were created by one of the book stores and the source of quite a bit of ridicule by Longhorn fans.
As to Santos. I think it's a 50/50 deal. You've got childhood favorite plus Daddy working for Texas vs. loyalty and a better chance to play his true position for Tennessee. I don't think anyone knows how the coin is going to flip on this one.
As to Muschamp. Yes, I think he was mad about how things shook out over the 2 years he was at Texas. The S&C coach was a joke. The laziness in recruiting was a joke. (We'd go after the easy signatures and call it a day long before February meaning we were missing out on late bloomers and the National types that generally sign later on in the process.) The program had settled in to complacency which was/is inexcusable. He did leave on good terms as evidenced by the fact that Mack asked him to not take Applewhite (and one other coach who's name currently escapes me).
I'd never heard anything about the Wilcox situation so I'll leave that be.
My wife and 90% of my friends are Vol alumni so it pains me to read the Texas bashing. On one hand, I want to respond with trash talking of my own. On the other hand, I want Tennessee to do well so that I can, once again, enjoy tailgates and games with my Vol inner circle.
