I am leaning more and more toward the idea that between Q Davis and Patterson, Tennessee is going take the first one to commit and at the moment, I believe Q Patterson will be the first to commit. Assuming the other one wants to commit as well, his fate will be dependent on how we end up with Santos (I think we will hang on to him), Kirven (I think we get him also), and Robison. Briscoe could also factor into it if he wants to commit and we miss on Kirven.

You just spelled out the exact scenario I have given as the reason not to recruit Briscoe. If we pull his offer at the last minute due to these other guys jumping on board I am scared it will send Bourque to Miami pissed we screwed his friend.

If Bourque is only coming to Tenn because his friend might... See ya, thanks for coming.

That isn't my suggestion in fact its just the opposite. We don't need to recruit Briscoe to get Bourque. The only way we don't get Bourque is if he gets pissed and looses trust with the staff. That could happen if we recruit, offer, and then don't take his friend.

I understand your thinking on that, but I somewhat disagree. Remember it was said that if Briscoe committed to the "U" that he would too. Well he did, and Bourque didn't. Instead he flipped the script and is now trying ro pull the UT card with Briscoe.
Sorry to do this man, but it's lose, not loose.
I don't think that's the case bro. He went to Miami (where his boy is committed) and didn't flip to Miami. He is solid to us, and just trying to get his friend to Knoxville with him. Unfortunately for him, I think K.K takes his buddies spot.

I mean, I've never talked with him or anything. Just going by what he's said to VQ and such. Let's put it this way, he doesn't seem to be close to what Gabe Wright was last year.
Let's put it this way...Polian was one of the most highly regarded GM's in the profession before the season. But him simply not drafting or acquiring via free agency/trade, a worthy backup, by his own admission, was what cost him his job.Agree on all.
And I think even Peyton would have had a tough time winning 7-8 games with this year's Colts. Aging at key places, significant injuries at others, combined with mediocre drafting the last 5 years. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Colts blow it all up with Peyton ending up in Baltimore, NY, or Dallas.
