Iirc he wants to play in the sec so no worries all vol IMHO .

I think he said that so he would not have to answer to Tech and A&M, even though now they are in the SEC. He probably never thought Texas would come calling. I hate to say it but he is as good as gone.

We're a prideful fanbase ( rightfully so ), so to make a kid one of the main priorities in your upcoming class and have him committed for as long as Santos has been with us, only to see Texas swoop in the last minute is disturbing.

I'm pretty sure if D.J. Humphries were to all of a sudden start leaning another way at this point you would be a little pissed too.

You mean like Mike davis did after being committed for 10 months?

Yea but the only control we have of the situation is on ourselves....We get to wrapped up in the emotional side of this year in and year out drama....

Some go the extra mile and start talking trash about the family and the recruit.... You can help that a recruit does not have the power or tools to make a life changing decision... Add to it the coaches pouring in the door and the parents or friends it is instant celebrity and nobody wants to be last picked or to settle.....Some have egos and play games....Santo's recruitment has been dead up until the last month and a half because of his commitment to UTK....Let him have his fun and wait and see what he does.....
Probably more in line with what I meant. You have people now talking about how ugly his girlfriend is, how he needs to eb a man of his word, etc.

I'd love to know how many people on here in their current job, would get offered a dream job by a company they have been wanting to work at since they graduated college, a big-time company with more exposure, pay, etc............and turn it down because they are "loyal and committed".

D.J. Humphries is on campus already.

And you are comparing arguably the best OL prospect in the country to a 3 star LB.

otha peters is better than santos. we are hanging on to the better backer.

anyway, might as well take UT commit off of the title

dude is peacing out and he really isnt a class breaker.

McNeil is that guy

McNeil=must have

Jay's right. I wish we could pull something off here but it's doesn't look like it's going to work out. We have the important chess pieces left on the board.

McNeil , Otha , and the dt's are critical.. Along with one good corner

Robison isn't a MLB. I don't think he is necessarily being recruited as a "replacement" for Santos. More like filling an expected open spot.

I hope people are not implying that Otha will end up the better LB. There is absolutely no way to tell. Neither have played a down in college.

Why is everyone so certain he is gone? Did some more info come out about his trip to Texas? Or is everyone just speculating?

Not the same at all...Dalton was " all Vol ", so to speak...Davis' recruitment was iffy and there were rumblings that he would de-commit from UF for awhile IIRC.

He also de-committed from UF awhile back, not ten days before NSD.

Nice try though.
