VQ staff said that if Bray has a solid year, he will take a long look at his draft potential. I would worry more about Murray staying and Bray leaving...

Even if Bray has a monster year I don't see him higher than 2nd, probably 3rd. He is skinny and is perceived to have maturity issues. Regardless if they're true or not NFL teams aren't gonna spend 1st round cash on a QB with those kind of questions. He'll be back for 4 unless he gets some really bad advice.

On Bray, I'm not saying it's gospel, but there are already a lot of web sites out there projecting him in the first round in either 2013 and 2014.

I would pretty much bank on it. Unless there is some unforseen off-field incident/issue or major injury, then Bray will be a 1st round NFL Draft pick.

Agree. Regardless of how good they are, quarterbacks need all of the coaching and experience they can get, before entering the NFL. Bray is nowhere close to NFL ready. Peyton Manning played four years in college, because he knew the transition to pro would be rough, as it was. Peyton made it, but most QBs don't.

Bray is a great passer. He has yet to prove he is a great QB. He still struggled to manage the O. As entertaining as it is to see him throw one up for Hunter or drill a pass into a small window.... that isn't enough for the top tier of SEC play much less the NFL.

Guys drafted as high as you are talking are expected to be the starter right away. Bray isn't ready for that. He needs to become a QB first.

I think Bray might need to learn to read zone coverage and maybe sell a playfake before we start talking first round. He has a great arm but that's not all that is required of his position. He's has potential, but a lot of things he needs to work on.

Perceived by who? Other than Volnation.

He already has his touchdown dance though. Throat slash!

During the VQ chat last night, Hubbs & Co said that we were still in the top two for Patterson. However, he is thought to be a GA lean ATP. Patterson believes that he can walk in to GA's locker room and be the #1 receiver from the jump. They don't think he feels that way about TN.

Patterson would not be #1 at Georgia -- I believe that Richt, Bobo, Aaron Murray, and Malcom Mitchell would all agree that Mitchell will continue to be #1 and Patterson would be #2 now that Charles has left.

At Tennessee, Patterson would probably be #2 also, at least until Hunter regains his form, and if Rogers does not seriously improve his attitude, or if he transfers during the off season, Patterson could be #1 here, and have a better QB passing to him in an offense that is pass-first rather than the run-first offense that Richt prefers.

I continue to believe that Tennessee is the best choice for Patterson to reach his goals.

Patterson would probably be a #3 here but would see the field just as much as Hunter and Rogers nearly. Rogers was 1st team ALL SEC, and most think Hunter is better then him. Hunter will be 100% so I couldn't see Patterson surpassing either of them honestly. It would be nearly impossible to contain our WR corps though.
