'12 JUCO WR Cordarrelle Patterson (UT signee)

CP's recruitment made me think of something funny that should happen if players can't get academically qualified: along with all the school hats that they pick from when they make their decision, there should be a dunce cap that they have to put on an then hang their head in shame

Appreciate it, Votp.

I still see no NFL fast track potential for him at Auburn. None at all.

Neither do I. People underestimate Emory Blake and as we all know, there's no one to throw the ball to either of them. And a lot of talented RBs.

I think the ship has sailed on Patterson.

UT's staff will tell no one. They are good enough to keep things secret even from people working around the program in the AD. Patterson is telling everyone what they seem to want to hear at the time.

If he can qualify... I would not be surprised if he were a "surprise".

Patterson isn't straightforward with the media but he talks to other people. UT is out in my opinion.

During the VQ chat last night, Hubbs & Co said that we were still in the top two for Patterson. However, he is thought to be a GA lean ATP. Patterson believes that he can walk in to GA's locker room and be the #1 receiver from the jump. They don't think he feels that way about TN.

Says something about the UT WR corps (at least the guys at the top) if a 6.0 4-star JUCO recruit doesn't think he could step in and be the man immediately.

It's been a very long time since we had 2 starting WR with the talent of Rogers and Hunter. However, if we could somehow land Patterson and start going 3 wide someone is going to get a weak DB on them.

Well, he would be correct. Hunter and Rodgers would both be ahead of him I do believe. I hate to play the "if he's not willing to work for it or doesn't like the competition" card because we could use him, but I kind of feel that way.

Think we need to look at the 2013 season here too...what is the probability that murray looks into the NFL? I still think UT has a great shot here

For what? Season tickets for his favorite team? :eek:lol:

Haha, I know bray is the better prospect, but if they have success again he will get hype...I hope he leaves, bray stays along with hunter and cp and UT wins the east in 2013...sounds good haha?

VQ staff said that if Bray has a solid year, he will take a long look at his draft potential. I would worry more about Murray staying and Bray leaving...

I honestly think both will be back. Starting to see it more and more lately with guys that are the best prospects waiting till they are definitely NFL ready (Luck, Landry Jones etc) and guys that have high stock but are fringe prospects leaving early (LaMichael James)

Would love to see this team with Bray leading them as a senior in '13, so I'm admittedly biased

Murray isn't going to be drafted in the NFL, certainly not in the first few rounds, no matter how good his 2012 is. How many 5'10" average QB's do you see in the NFL?

Bray might go if his receivers stay healthy and UT has a better than expected season, too early to tell. But I like the idea of Peterman and Worley fighting it out for Bray's job, so I'm not too worried. I think one of them (likely Peterman) will be very good after Bray leaves.

It would take a phenomenal year for Bray to be a first round pick in 2013 draft. Remember he's only played the equivalent of one full season so far. The only one who I could see leaving early is Darick because if he blows up again next year he would have had two great years against SEC competition.

I could care less if he's drafted or not. Bottom line, I just don't want him throwing passes to CP for the next two years.

Which is why I believe UT has a better shot than people may think. I believe Darick is as good as gone after next year, opening the door for CP to play year 1 at UT and start opposite JH year 2 (then be drafted in the 1st or 2nd round along with his teammate JH :))

But I bet Murray cares if he's drafted, which would be a heavy factor in his decision to stay or go.

CP's likely a 1 and done anyway, if he's as good as advertised. And hopefully CP chooses Auburn (or someone outside of the SEC) if he doesn't choose UT.

How often does that happen? Juco's playing a year then leaving for the draft? I could see a wr making that transition, but I would say it isn't likely
