What are the chances of getting him away from FSU? Would love him and Kirven but atleast one to go with DM and O'Brien

Chap was and still is slow as hell tho. But, he is and has been the strongest guy on Bama's roster for sometime. He owns the bench record there.

Paul Fortenberry calls Shanks a "longshot" but nobody really knows as of right now. We should have a better grasp on him after this weekend. CLT has put in a lot of work here.

Shanks is a better athlete/prospect but Chap did his thing at NG for Bama. Turned out better than Hoover great Curtis Dawson(dude could've been a monster).

True. Chap, Dawson, n Kerry Murphy were unreal. Sad that 2/3 of the combo ended up being busts!

Dawson just lost the desire to work hard at Bama.

Now on to Shanks, I wonder with him being from a heavy pro Bama area will Sunseri just coming from the Tide factor in at all when it comes to his recruiting.

It's known that CLT put in the work to keep him listening. Sunseri can only help with his background.

What I'm seeing is Goldman was FSU or Bama. Sal leaving Bama hurt their chances and it's looking like FSU now. So, maybe that sends Shanks thinking more of UT...

Actually the new ESPN article today per EG mother, that Sal does not affect EG going to UA. It will no bearing on his recruitment. Per his mother atleast.

I stated in another thread that position coaches are just that at Bama. They are good recruiters and all but the players are coming in to play for Saban.

This what I think some fail to see and understand. And it should be what you want, not like with what happened with CLK and his goons when they were at UT. They sold themselves to get recruits not UT.
