Is it on ESPN or on their rumors page like the Randy Shannon report? If it is on the actual ESPN network, it seems odd that this is the first name to leak out.

This would be such a bad hire for DC...Dooley should be fired and Hart should be fired for allowing it.

According to the poster it's on ESPM. I think they're akin to CNM. It's a Chinese knockoff of the real thing.

Well, you might as well just go ahead and attach some bottle rockets to your feet and hit the roof even harder because no big name coach is going to come here. Thats just the way it's going to be. UGA has been the most underperforming team in the country talent wise for the last 6 years. Yet, they have not fired Richt. They sure seem to be in a much better place than UT too.

the fan base at UT is no different from any other fan base with this kind of tradition. Bama, LSU, UGA, AU, etc...If you want to coach in a big time conference with a big time, tradition rich program, you're going to be under pressure to produce, or, at least show improvement while rebuilding. People can point to different reasons why coaches are reluctant to join this staff but it isn't the fan base keeping coaches from coming here...imo, tifwiw, lol

I have been through all the times. I havent even weighed in that much because my overall attitude toward the program is pretty negative right now. I didnt mean stop following UT athletics, I mean this coaching search and all the past, present, and assuredly future drama that is bound to come about with a losing La Tech business manager at the helm of a once great program.

I have and will always support the Vols. I bet a lot of you have had a drink on my boat at the docks. I will not however sugar coat my opinion that Dooley is an embarrassment to the program. I actually started to get excited at the prospects of getting a name like Shannon or the likes.

Call me a negavol or whatever, I am a realist. As bad as some of you hate any form of negativity even when justified, I can assure you I hate this acceptance of mediocrity as some "natural cycle" or something even more. It is not, it was created, and with a REAL coach it will be fixed.

Haha. Thats not the first time I've been told such a thing. I get on here every day to read about what is going on and after all the negative stuff that I read every day I just had to say something. I mean, I've read how people are so "stressed" because they want to know what is going on with the coaching changes? Seriously? I love the Vols but I try not to let it get to me so much when they stink. I still love watching and will support them regardless (as well as wear my Orange coat to the bar on game day down here in Georgia). Just saying we should all at least be thankful that we can even watch a football team that we are passionate about.
