I don't buy it. Anyone with grade concerns will more than likely be cut loose. We can't take chances with only the 25 spots.

Doesn't really matter why he's gone. Just that he's gone.

The fact that he still hasn't taken the ACT softens the blow a little. We might wind up picking him up on the other side of JC if he's still interested in mortuary science and we didn't burn too many bridges here. It sounds kinda like an easy breakup.

Apparently, it's not just the ACT that's a concern. His grades are apparently a concern as well. I think it's well known CDD doesn't take a chance on a kid with grade issues. Pat Martin was the closest things to it.

According to his thread, grades are an issue. He hasn't taken his ACT.

According to this thread he took the test in december. Must have gotten a poor score back in the last few weeks.

The reason he's no longer a commit is because the staff knows he will end up in a JUCO somewhere. Good prospect, bad student. SEC has stopped allowing SEC schools to work with non qualifiers thus UT had to cut him loose when they received his mid-term grades. He's saying it is best for him and his family? Someone needs to fire the principal, guidance counselors, coach and everyone else that let him slide this long without taking the ACT.

Grades are a big issue....but I wouldn't be to sure that they are the whole story.

Mike Locksley is back in Maryland folks. It just got a lot harder to pull studs out of the DC/MD region. Maryland insiders believe Crawley is theirs now. They just pulled Wes Brown last night. Stefon Diggs and Eddie Goldman are now very much in play. Sounds crazy for a team coming off of a 2-10 season but Mike Locksley is a GOD in these parts. His national reputation was hurt while at New Mexico but no one in DC or Maryland cares.

You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.

Who knows what happened in this particular case, but I've worked with these guys long enough to know that you can only do so much. The student-athletes have to be held accountable at some point.

If the resoning was because he was interested in going to Maryland rather than UT then he would not have posted about how hard it is going to be to have to start recruiting all over again.

He's in DC public schools, right? If you want to see the failure of the system AND the fallacy that more money gets better results.... they are a gem of a case study.

If you want to see the failure of a system and the fallacy that no money gets better results, see Alabamas system. My kids school system has no money for anything, and it sucks big green balls.

That's what happens when Americans allow the government to get too big. The govt fails at just about everything yet folks continue to want more government. And if we continue to elect corrupt politicians who are bought and paid for by special interest groups it will not change, no matter if they're democrats or republicans. Obama, Romney, Bush, Clinton, all the same...Vote Ron Paul. :Drops mic:

All I know is, this state has no money for education, infrastucture or anything. I have lived in Tenn, Fla, GA and now Bama since my kids have been in school. Bama is by far the worst. By a million miles worse. Some money for education would be nice.

Mississippi is even worse.

We agree on too many things. Scary.

Nah, education isn't important. Id rather let my tax dollars go towards my president going to Hawaii for Christmas...twice if you count that Obama didn't go with his family and arrived late. (sarcasm)
