'12 D.C. DB Kenneth Crawley

Yeah has to be grades. Highly doubt we told him to look elsewhere since we do not have many defensive backs we are in on.

Not sure what Crawley means but he just tweeted this "So little time to start all over for recruiting" Then said he is visiting Kansas

That would suck. Dude is legit but gotta take care of the classroom before you see the field

We could have told him to look elsewhere due to grades and need that scholarship for someone else. Good thing we took a deep class of DBs last class.

Didn't we go see him today? If so why would we waste a trip up there to tell him to look elsewhere? Doesn't add up.

I agree but you don't go up there to tell him that. Its a simple phone call and a flight to see the next guy.

maybe it was to test the juco waters to see if he was interested. maybe not.

Sucks to lose him, but I understand it - we can't afford to have players sign and then not make it in

That's a good point. Along those same lines, I guess he could also have asked him to wait til after signing day to see if we have a slot left. If we miss on a few guys and don't sign 25 he could then sign and go to work on qualifying. Every time I think I understand the new 25 rule I hear something else but maybe that is how some staffs will approach it.

The sad part is, to get a qualifying score can't be THAT hard. I don't want to brag because I was blessed with a portion of wisdom... but a 17 and 2.0 GPA. I have classmates that come from backwoods Kentucky that sleep everyday in class and probably spend more time with drugs than they do in school. They can make 17's on the ACT. I think the lowest GPA in our class is like 1.8, someone who has been to school like 10 times this year.

I guess we can cross him off our commit list...Had to be grades.

Yes, it has to be academic problems. As I noted a number of times, we have exactly what he himself said he was most interested in from a school -- a program with his major which is mortuary science, an uncommon degree. We also have the unique draw for him with the "body farm". There is no way that we lose him for any other reason other than he cannot get in here.
