Brings back the story of Fulmer's hiring of Dave Clawson (sp)....Same deal....

Dooley doesn't have that the latitude that Fulmer did...

Any home run hire that UT AD or Dooley makes is or will always be considered a HC in waiting by most...Even though it may not be the deal.....

Yeah...I'm going to have to STRONGLY disagree with this statement.

This hire has to instill some confidence in this program, period, and I don't see how hiring Steele after last night inspires confidence.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think you should judge a coach after one bad game but after one of the worst loses in bowl history.....c'mon.

I wish people could read the damn links they post. The sbnation link only says there was speculation that Dooley would announce Shannon as the new DC at his "press conference" Tuesday, but then he didn't. It doesn't actually say, "Shannon WILL NOT BE hired by the University of Tennessee."

The misleading title was to get people like you to spread the trash around the internet.

Not sure what you are basing this on. Dooley has shown nothing to support this, niether at LA Tech or UT. Sorry, just reality.

There are plenty of coaches that think highly of Steele. Not just Dooley.

I've stated for years, I don't get it and haven't understood why, but he's not the only coach by any means.

Was saying that I hate posts like these ones and posters with info. with no back up facts or links. Not bringing these links in as reliable sources. I just want more accurate posts without phrases like "I've got a friend in the athletic dept. and ...." or "my buddy is a lawyer who drafts athletic contracts and he said....".
