'12 GA RB Mike Davis (USCe commit)

I think this kid is trolling UGA big time.

he isn't trolling UGA at all. there are a number of schools that are close to him such as usce and most uga guys i know are saying he is going to usce if he were to commit right now. a number of vol fans took what he said as he is going to tennessee (check a few pages back on that). it will be interesting to see if he does commit at the allstar game. UGA's top priority is Todd Gurley at RB and we feel pretty good with where we stand with him today.

Hope u all do get gurley, but I haven't heard from anyone except Uga fans that u all lead

I say Davis would commit to the Chickens if he were to pick today.

Anybody who says we are not in it for Gurley are wrong. It was between us and Clemson but now UNC has made a strong push for him.

I cant remember the poster but someone on here has inside Info and he has said that Gurley and Marshall talked about their decision and WILL NOT go to the same school.

Marshall and Gurley came on an OV to Athens together. They have also stated that they would like to play together in college. Gurley was supposed to commit at his All Star game but has decided to wait and hear what the new staff at UNC has to say. As of today, I like our chances with Gurley better than Davis.

What you mean to say is it's between UNC (who's led for awhile) and Clemson and UGA is making a strong push for him.

"Since his decision to decommit from Florida earlier this month, running back Mike Davis (Stone Mountain, Ga./Stephenson) has become one of the most coveted prospects still available in the 2012 recruiting cycle. Schools including Oklahoma, Clemson and Georgia extended offers almost immediately, and college coaches jumped on the phones to try to line up an official visit.

So far the four-star tailback has taken officials to Tennessee and Florida State, and an unofficial to Georgia. Clemson, Georgia and South Carolina are scheduled to host Davis on officials in January, but it appears that Davis has already made up his mind.

"I talked it over with my parents, and we were able to find a school that is a good fit for me," Davis said."

I guess well see i think we have a shot.

I'm gonna say that by your quote, it sounds like it will be Georgia to me. If he already has a school and he has already been to Georgia once (on unofficial visit), why would he go back again to Georgia on official visit unless Georgia is his choice. Just an opinion.

im gonna go out on a limb and say hes a vol. He's not taking anymore visits and south carolina was due a visit and now ut has jay graham.

You gotta think that Davis just might be a Vol. Think about it...he came in unexpectedly on an OV a few weekends ago. Immediately following that visit on Sunday or Monday, he unexpectedly decommits from Florida. Now, he has made his decision, but hasn't OV any other schools on his list that he is considering, except us and FSU. No way he goes to FSU with the RBs they already have and with Pender already committed to them. It just makes sense that Mr. Davis is going to be a Vol. Plus, Skeeter said that he and CJG are in contact constantly, and I think Skeeter said that Graham will be visiting him (maybe?) after dead period is over. I think that we may have landed our big fish/elite RB.

I concur. My gut doesn't feel particularly good about Davis, but my reason thinks we have a very, very good shot.
