Arnett to transfer?

I don't like Dooley, but I'll back him here. Every kid that gets home sick shouldn't be granted a full release. Just dumb. He's able to play football close to his father. What else does he want? To go further from his father to play for Michigan State? hmmmmmmm

Why the hell would he want to go to an inferior school and play for an inferior team? "but we are going to let him go to Jerkwater St." Thats ridiculous

not that Id ever want some other players tweeting or talking about this, I'd love to see their thoughts on it.

if he is such a great player then going to EMU won't hurt him. he'll show out and get drafted, end of story.

emain is dead wrong on this one. you don't let him run the program. It's Dooley's football team, not DA. So sorry buddy but you decided to bail.

How the hell is he running the program? He wants to be closer to his dad and not play for a **** program with no exposure. Thats perfectly reasonable

Further from his father???

Many businesses have a noncompete. I don't care where the kid goes and I bet DD doesn't either, but it's a business decision to put limits on the release.
Believe me, I would have felt differently a few years ago, but they have to investigate and make the best decision without compromising the way they handle departures.

Agree. This doesn't have to be a PR sh!tstorm. All we have to say is that we have a policy in place, we follow it and in this situation, we are happy to give DA what he says he wants-- to be able to play football at a university near his family.

If we change position now, we'll open the program to media blackmail by every player who has a beef with the team, the coaches, PT, locker room atmosphere, cafeteria food, dormroom accommodations or anything else that might momentarily displease a teenager. If we don't have a social media/media policy in place, we need one.

Guys, again................scholarships are only one year commitments between a school and a player.

He didn't "renege" on his commitment. He played out the year as he signed to do.

It is more his father than anything, but CB leaving didn't help. Made it easier to go.

If the above bold is true. The policy below is trash IMO.

Because we aren't fight for Central Mich recruits. Michigan and Michigan State is a different story.

Bottom line, he made a decision to play at UT, signed a contract. Now wants out and that is his prerogative. But he has to live with the choice he is making.

You don't get handed things in real life because it's is or isn't fair.

Life isn't fair and this is a very cut throat business.

Has the information change?

When did jerkwater start playing football. I remember when they were a powerhouse in Basketball.

Who cares. Kid wants to go, let him go. I don't want anyone on the team that does not want to be there....anyone....period.
