Explain how it's too tough of a stance when all other D-1 programs follow the same protocol. It's easy to act all noble and whatnot, but it is a business. A business in which Tennessee's HC is trying to keep his job. You don't let some 18-19 year old kid just leave because he is homesick
Besides, funny how you glossed over the point that his Dad was sick when he committed. Where was the concern for dear old Dad then?
Wes Rucker just said that DA has tweeted that he hasn't talked to anyone about leaving yet.
He is acting like nothing has changed. Sort of confused. I think most of us accepted it if he is leaving. I know he likes the attention , but why deny it if it's no longer a rumor? Is he just playing the game again? I mean , any chance the media jumped the gun on this one like they did with Da'rick? I think he is gone , but if he isn't he should let it be known. Reminds me of his recruitment all over again. I don't have a twitter account , but I looked at what was posted here. I checked it out and he is giving a shout out to all of his new followers. I'm just calling it like I see it. He doesn't seem too upset. It comes across like .... I want the attention , but I don't if it's personal. He can't have it both ways. Good luck to him , but he needs to make it clear what he wants to do. His recruitment was fun to watch , but if he is playing games now , well it's just pretty pathedic considering the situation. I'm not bashing him , just calling it like it is. "Stop speculating" ... ok , will do if you give an honest response. Claiming that people are speaking for him and they are wrong is just confusing.
9 hours? Wrong. It's 1 hour and 15 minutes. Or, if he walks....Come on, man!
Asking a Gator fan who openly refers to the area as "Redneckville, TN" his opinion on anything UT is ironic and sad. As if this jort wearing goof has an inside scoop on the matter.
someone in his family told VQ writer last night he was requesting a release. there could be several different reasons for what he is now saying and it might be too early to determine why the change in his position.
Maybe CDD told him he would not release him at this time. If he doesn't, then there is a 2 year sitting period for a true freshman that leaves in the middle of his freshman season.
that is one possible answer but I don't know why..
Yeah , it's pretty confusing. Thanks for the info Larry. I know it's an opinion , but it does make some sense on the possible chance that he isn't leaving. I still think he is gone. You feel the same? I hope he stays , but I'd like for him to want to be here.
I would wear a Vols tie to my interview if it would get me the right job.
The job here in Cookeville is a decent job, but needing much more to keep me busy. (and doesnt pay well. Economy took my perfect job away 3 years ago)
could also be saying that he hasnt "spoken to anyone" at MSU or um.
The quotes Im seeing only talk about not speaking to anyone, doesnt say that he didnt submit a request. That can be done, and allegedly has been done, by email.
He "could be" saying alot of things , but he isn't. The only thing he has said is he hasn't talked to anyone and not to speculate. That seems to be what you and the rest of us are doing here because he hasn't made his intentions clear to anyone.

Vols WR DeAnthony Arnett wants to be released to UM or MSU, says UT will release him to MAC schools

DeAnthony Arnett says "I want to play football but I NEED to be here for my Dad and with my family."
Well, except:
"the Tennessee program isn't the right fit for me or my family."
