Uhhh...you haven't been to Miami have you? Dude could be flaming and still have a thuper time.

Miami is horrible unless you got the money to enjoy it. Too many bad areas of Miami plus their stadium and facilities are terrible.

I love Miami. I used to stay down there for business weeks at a time. I ain't rich, and I had a blast. And I am not talking about debauchery, there is a lot to do for anybody.

The U moved out of the Orange Bowl and now plays in the Miami Dolphins' stadium. I've been there; it ain't too shabby. Trouble for the U is that the stadium is a long way from the university. South Beach clubs cater to those with money to burn. But you don't have to spend a ton of money there if you don't wanna. There are a lot of good places with regular prices.

SIAP but Sentimore could be visiting Miami this weekend.

After living and working in South Florida for over a decade, I really would not recommend it to anyone wanting a sense of community. People there meet as strangers and live as strangers. The UM football team had a great run playing in the Orange Bowl in the 80s, but the stadium was abandoned and demolished. I don't think Pro Player Stadium is even in the same county, and not many fans show up for Hurricane games these days. Even when the Dolphins play and the stadium is full, there is no enthusiasm or spirit from the fans. Playing for the Canes must be a very depressing experience.

Most Cubans are not huge football fans.

May be racist...
