'12 GA RB Mike Davis (USCe commit)

I'm waiting on the in-home by Muschamp so he can get his knees durty.

trust me when I tell you he aint going to beg...not with 2013 instate class loaded with kids that want in. He'll take Jones and Torry Clayton and call it a year then get Bryant,Lane and Taylor or Green.

He is use to Texas when all they had to do was knock on the door and get a commitment... At Florida he has to go up against FSU/Miami/Central Fla/ as well all the school that regularly poach that state of players

Muschamp isn't going to play the "game" with recruits bc too many good players want to be at UF. The days of recruits having control of recruiting at UF is over. I'm sure we wont get many 5* recruits like with Meyer but we'll have a solid football team... we'll become the VT of the SEC.

The run at 30 seconds is one of the most incredible runs I've ever seen in my life. Looks like Shady McCoy

He seems to run that sprint draw really well. At least that is what some of those runs look like to me out of the shotgun form. I'm no Xs and Os guy but several of those runs looked to me like the plays that JC likes to call where Poole, and our other backs never see the cutback hole, or are too early or late getting to it...or trips over their feet. Davis reads his blocks really well, but all those stops and starts worry me. I don't think that will work on the Defenses in the SEC. He runs through arm tackles really well also, with great balance. All in all I think this kid would be a great pickup. I hope we get him.

Any news on that visit he was supposed to have?

UT or UF?....he's hasn't said anything about it on twitter but iirc UT coaches can't go in-home with him again this week so it make sense about meeting at SHS. UF has an in-home tomorrow nite.

gross...why would you ever want to compare yourself to VT??

It looks like he has a real hate for UF right now. All his potential schools are enemies of UF i.e. UT, Bama, SC, the U, and FSU. The real reason he's mad is because you guys sent 3 coaches to Marshalls house and only 1 to his house. I'd be pissed off too. UF coaches telling him their done and he's the guy, when they are pulling out all stops for Marshall. He's been a Gator since his commitment, and never would have visited no where if Muschamp wasn't pulling out all stops to get Marshall.

Not just hate but a source has confirmed that those bridges are burned with UF. At first I thought this was going to be another stunt or a player pulling the wool over the eyes till NSD but Davis now will not go to FL.

Personally, I dont know what happened but there are 2 more FL players on the fence now.

From the outside looking in, you gotta think that after this past season that there are some eyes on Muschamp.

This is a TN forum so I really dont care what happens with FL.

lol he set a visit to Sc before the staff visited Marshall and was talking to LSU and Bama about visits...UF hadn't spoke to Marshall in over a month then Davis following his brother's lead decided to set up visits and UF did what they need to cover themselves. He started to hear the chatter about them going full after Marhsall and Wes Brown so he wanted to cover his azz and show up to FSU game instead of Sc/Clemson. Again, no one knows the entire "story" but this is prety much the base of the issue.

and for every player on the fence there is a player waiting to get into this class. Muschamp isnt' going to be held hostage by some 17-18 kids.

This class will be top 5 with or w/o Davis and "rumored" recruits...8 EE's and taking 28-30 in the class.

Not so sure about that. Muschump wont have a clue what to do with them if/when he gets them.

this could be true but the next coach will be set for years.

Your exactly right on that. They will be loaded. Just like if Dooley is gone next year we will Have some nice players for the next guy and be in much better shape than when he arrived. That's why I believe we will have a much easier time getting a name coach with the probation stuff gone and much better depth.

So we're both getting Zooked right now?

can he back count 5 or is he going to ask them to greyshirt??

I don't remember Zook having a season similar to what UT and UF have had this year.

Analogy was for the stocking of the cupboard part of the equation.

This is what I don't understand some of the level of vitriol directed towards Dooley when you look at what he's doing from an overall perspective. I really want us to win with him at the helm, I'm not sold yet that we will, but I hope we do. However, if he's outta here after next year or the year after that and there are 3 or 4 top 10ish level classes filling up the depth chart for the next guy who comes along, it'll be hard for me to call his tenure a failure.
