story is he was told he would be the guy by Chump, but they were still recruiting RB's... seems many think it was not just the recruiting thing but the fact he felt like he was lied to????? who knows, it's recruiting

UF told him they would take 3 RBs if marshall wanted to come aboard in the summer but when KM didn't commit during his OV the staff backed off. Davis started talking about taking OV to SEC schools and Muschamp told him that he would go after Marshall and Wes Brown to fill the RB spots in the class. Staff didn't contact Davis for a few weeks to allow him to make up his mind. He showed up to the FSU game out of the blue bc he was set to OV for SC vs Clem game. He thought everything was fine but the staff wasn't going to get left out in this class with a need at RB....fastward the home visit with Marshall and UT visit.

Pretty sure he was silent up until signing day and flipped to Clemson. Or at least led the coaches on for a long time. From the sound of it, even his brother thought he was coming here.
