According to Chris Price, Santos will no longer be an EE, instead he is choosing to enjoy the rest of his senior year.
Not sure what to make of this.
Rumors our there that Sherman is on his way out at aTm and that K Smart is who they are looking at. I doubt Santos would go to aTm but Smart was the one recruiting him for UA. I am sure if he gets offered and takes the job he would go after Santos.
Again I doubt either will happen at this point.

Smart couldn't get Santos at a very good Bama team. So I doubt very seriously he could at A&M
Santos was very interested in UA but did not like the depth at UA, unlike aTm and UT. Second he liked UA because of the relationship he established with K Smart.
Now it was on this board the rumors just started about Santos now looking once again, BTW a finalists with UT for his commitment and closer to home. They also now have joined the SEC the one big draw UT could offer at one time over aTm. Santos has always liked aTm because they were close to home but liked the SEC and had better relationships with the coaches at UT, not to mention the coaches at aTm seem to be on the hotseat prior to the season started.
Now I all stated was Smart could end up as the HC at aTm if Sherman is fired. If he is because of the prior relationship with Santos he will definitely go after Santos. It probably does not mean he will switch I was just saying butaTm was already a front runner, Smart recruited him for UA, and he would see the field just as early.
In regards to UT do not assume UT out recruited Santos over UT. UT had the advantage of a better depth chart. That does not mean UA would have gotten him if ours was the same, but do not make it sound like UA had no chance in this race in the beginning, because if I remember correctly it was UT fans that were worried about UA.
Honestly I wish Smart was our HC but this is not the football forum so we won't go into that. Santos is key for UT. Really need help like him on the defensive side of the ball.
People around here lose their minds if another school calls our guys. I guess if a guy's good only one school should recruit him(which is us). Chill out folks he'll be here in January. He'll have a head start on S&C too. Which I think might be his biggest problem. He has a little bad weight but it's only in the mid section. People who question his speed(including me at times) need to realize we had Reviez starting at LB(nuff said). I'll be glad when he gets here so we can see if he's as good as the hype.
