Since it appears our nonconference schedule will be our saving grace if we make the NCAA tournament, I was wondering what 5 teams everyone would like to see us play at some point in the future. I'm going to eliminate UNC and Duke from consideration, because I'm going to assume everyone would be in favor of those games.

I'd love to see a SEC vs. Big East Challenge. Having us go against UConn, Syracuse, Louisville, Pitt, et al., would be great fun for the fans.

1. UCONN for the carryover from the Women's game and national rep they have built recently. I don't think they'll continue to be that strong and can provide some style points.
2. AZ because they no longer live up to the hype and could mix in golf trip to coincide with game
3. UCLA for the great excuse to visit Wooden land and not unbeatable team.
4. Indiana because I'm a Knight fan and nationally, people still believe they're better than they really are
5. TTech - because I'm a Knight fan

This is not an exhaustive list by any means, but are some teams that would help us from a scheduling standpoint, but are teams that we could likely beat in our house.

Great minds think alike

I think games pretty good programs in this region, such as Louisville and Ga Tech, make a lot of sense. West Virginia and Cincinnatti fit that bill pretty well, also. The Texas series has worked out pretty well, so I guess they can round out my top 5.

Do you have a list, Hat?

EDIT: I assumed Memphis was a given. They should definitely be on the schedule every year.

They could do some kind of huge marketing deal if:

The Lady Vols played UConn on a Friday, and The men played UConn on that Saturday. You know early season before a bowl game kind of thing. I think that would work well as far as marketing goes.

Other than that I'd like to see them play UCLA and Arizona and like you said go down Tobacco Road a little bit, play Wake and NC State along with Duke and UNC.

I would put Louisville at the top of my list. Pearl vs. Pitino has a little pizazz to it. I would not mind a match up with KSU just to see Huggsy. I think before this year UT vs. Gonzaga could generate some buzz. Seeing Pearl match up with Olsen or Boeheim could be a feather in his cap as well.

Big 12
Kansas
Texas
Big 10+1
Indiana
MSU
Pac 10
Arizona
UCLA

I guess it would be a given with Memphis and would like to see something will Louisville too.

Maybe even a St. Johns to get some face time with NY talent.

I'd love to play the Big 10 Teams and smack them around!

Yes. Southern Cal, Kansas State, UNLV, Southern Miss, and Xavier.

OK, I see some intrigue in the USC, KSU, and UNLV match-ups, but just out of curiousity, I would like to know why you put Southern Miss and Xavier on the list.

1. A chance to catch up with my friend, Larry Eustachy.
2. A chance to hit Cincy without having to see Nancy Zimpher.

One I forgot on my previous list would be Illinois, since they are so fond of CBP and all.

Nebraska is rolling so as we pick em up in football in seasons to come I'd like to see the 2 schools meet. Other than that I'd like UCLA, Uconn, Georgia Tech, and Kansas
