1. A chance to catch up with my friend, Larry Eustachy.
2. A chance to hit Cincy without having to see Nancy Zimpher.
Yeah, Clifton is not exactly the best neighborhood you'll ever see. Huggs is absolutely one of my favorite people. K-State will consider the day they hired him one of the best days in the history of that university. Cronin is getting a raw deal, but nowhere near as bad as the way Zimpher and Mike Thomas treated Andy Kennedy.Oh man you just intrigued me very much. I moved to Atlanta from Cincy, where I lived for 12 years, in July. To say that I absolutely despise Zimpher would be saying it lightly. She has completely run the athletics program into the ground and ruined the enitre fan base. Mick Cronin is getting a pretty raw deal because nobody is going to the game or supporting them because of her. She is trying to make Cincy like Harvard or Yale and it is completely ridiculous. First off, Cincy is right in the middle of horrible neighborhoods, itcould be classified as the ghetto. The old AD Goin didn't have the ba**s to stand up to her and he was basically a puppet and then after all the things that happened with Bob he resigned...what a p*ssy...
I would love for the Vols to play K-State in the future, I love Hugs and his daughter was one of my best friends and still is because we graduated high school together. He will have that program at the top of the Big-12 very soon. He has a stellar recruiting class coming in there next year and this year they are playing very well and haven't had Bill Walker for most of the year. The guy can flat out coach and most only think of him as a guy that goes crazy on the sidelines, which he does, but the players will tell you he is the first to come to them an put his arm around them and tells them how much he cares...Huggieville lives on!!
1. I wouldn't be too sure Va. Tech is really on the rise. Let's see what they do when all of the seniors on this year's team are gone.1. Memphis - I would definitely like to continue this series, even though Coach Cal would like to see it end.
2. Texas - I liked this UT vs. UT series. I wish it would continue.
3. Virginia Tech - A regional game, between two programs that seem to be on the rise. Plus, maybe playing them in basketball would lead to a series in football as well. I think this could become a good rivalry.
4. Michigan or Michigan State - As someone noted that it would be good to have some face time in the NYC area, I would like to play one of these teams to help be on the radar of kids in the Detroit area. For basketball, I would prefer Michigan State.
5. Arizona - I wanted to get a western team in the mix, and personally, I would just prefer this matchup over UCLA.
Not meaning to get off topic, but Xavier has been mentioned a few times in the topic. Don't we go to Xavier next year to finish a home-and-home series with them?
