Your great granddaddy sounded like an awesome dude. I will tell you this much, I will never shun the advice of an old black man, you always know he has seen something in his day.
Damn fine pics, Grizz. None of us could fill the shoes of that generation. Worked hard sun up to sun down. My Dad would leave for work at sun up and come home around 5p. Eat supper and start cutting tall grass on an open 15 acres. He'd finish it in about a week. He cut it with a scythe. If you don't know what that is, Google it. It ain't easy.

Im country as cornbread, I know what it is lol. He farmed and worked for an undertaker for 40 years. My daddy told me that Doodle dug 3 graves by hand in one day, carried the vault and then the casket on his back to the grave site. Lol daddy told me another story about him vaccuming the chapel and my daddy got affraid and ran out. Doodle told him to get his ass back in there and vacuum around that casket. Doodle walked up to the casket and smacked the dead person and asked daddy "IS HE MOVING BOY?" lol
