Herman Cain

Desperate for attention ?

I don't know how you characterize it, but you've got to admit it's a little strange for her to show up out of the blue with Gloria Allred.

Clinton's also wasn't sexual harrassment, it was consentual. He cheated on his wife. Not respectable by any means, but not the same thing.

Clinton had S/H charges. I can't remember the woman who outted him on Monica's name but she was a victim of the very definition of "harsh work environment" and "retribution". There were credible claims that Clintion even attempted rape.

Further, go ask anyone who trains this subject and they will tell you that relationships between a powerful superior and an intern... even if consentual cross the line into sexual harassment. He used his position and power to attract a "naive" low level employee.

You are wrong in every conceivable way.

Cain may not be the amateur many think him to be. One good strategy would be to "rope-a-dope" the accusers and let them punch themselves out. Once he's pretty sure it has all cleared or else anyone who has not spoken out publicly would lack credibility by coming forward late... he can give a single answer.

Regardless it still bothers me if he was trying to pick women up while married. I know the left doesn't care if their candidates have weak moral character.... but I am not sure I trust someone to run the country with integrity and loyalty if their wife can't trust them.

I'm not convinced that this was his planned strategy, yet.

Say what you want... I was an interested adult when most liberals and Dems dropped all pretense of objective morality/ethics or belief in the rule of law and circled the wagons around Bill Clinton.

Feminists TOOK HIS SIDE. The women he misused were EXACTLY the types and were in the situations that those groups had railed about for YEARS. They were weak. Low level employees. Often not extremely well educated.

During the process, they were turned into the criminals... it became THEIR fault. The left who present themselves as champions of the "little people" showed their true colors by joining the attacks.

Maybe not. But it is IMO his best remaining shot to get back in the game.

He CAN land a counterpunch but as Hugh Hewitt talked about yesterday... his response has to be credible. He's going to have to tell the truth. If he denies everything... almost no one will believe him. If he says, "I engaged in some flirtatious behavior. I should not have done it as it has hurt my wife... However I did not engage in sexual harassment. At no point did I continue to pursue anyone who indicated they wanted me to stop."... or something along those lines.

That's my criticism. He keeps having to respond to allegations instead of getting in front of them.

OMG, a lady working for a lobbying organization at one point lived in a building where David Axelrod also lived!?!!!

Therefore, she's obviously lying.

The main problem is that his arrogance has been so profound that any backtrack on things will surely sink him.

Obviously lying? No. Is here credibility questionable for ALOT more reasons than say... Paula Jones when she was being viciously attacked by the left? Emphatically, YES.

People who know accuser #4 say she is a gold-digger. A member of the media RECENTLY saw her approach and hug Cain. Does that sound like someone who was traumatized by an incident 14 years ago? She sued someone over paternity... and lost.

This woman is the worst nightmare for you and those who despise Cain. Now you have no one credible so far willing to come forward with their stories... and one person with NO CREDIBILITY coming forward with Allred at her side. Maybe Cain put her up to pitching his campaign a softball?

Time OUT. Arrogance? Do you see arrogance in Obama? Pelosi? Reid? Any liberal? Were those who attacked the Tea Party because they weren't politically sophisticated "arrogant"?

Cain is a confident, competent, accomplished man. But arrogant? I guess that must be in the eye of the beholder.

The only thing that sinks him here is if something tangible comes out or his answer when it comes is not credible.

LG is supposed to be a lawyer, yet he, among others, are already declaring Cain guilty before any facts are known (especially in regard to the NRA settlement). The Bialek issue doesn't even fit the legal description of harassment.

Right. It fits the definition of sexual assault.

not really. If her account is even true, he made a pass at her and was rebuffed. The moment she said "no" he stopped. That's not sexual assault.

Non-consentual sexual contact is sexual assault. If you randomly groped a woman in public and then she yelled "stop" you have committed sexual assault.

as a former soldier, I refuse to believe you've never made a pass at a woman that may have broken the boundaries of propriety.

but ok, it's easy for someone who wasn't there to assume they have all the facts.
