Manning resets the conversation - AFC South Blog - ESPN

December will be the last chance to practice with the team and February is when Manning expects the Colts to decide on his contract option.

"It's a one-year deal with a four-year extension," Manning said of the contract he signed after the lockout. "Part of the reason to practice is so the Colts have a fair chance to evaluate where I am. The team has a right to know where you are physically and where your health is."

Interesting and respectful comments by PM here. Have to admire his attitude and sense of realism regarding his contract, his health, and the Colts position when it comes to Andrew Luck.

Another reason to respect the guy. :salute:

The article certainly sounds like things are not progressing according to plan for Manning. If he can't practice before end of the year and in Feb., things still aren't progressing, I wonder if he retires... :cray:

Reading his comments, his contract is just a one year contract with a possibility of a 4 year extension. It is becoming more and more likely Peyton could be done. He can't even jog and he can't feel his tricep muscle at all. This is depressing. It's a possibility if he can't practice by January they might cut him. If he has played his last game, at least I can say I was in Lucas Oil Stadium to watch his last game, although it was a loss which sucked.

Jim Caldwell, Larry Coyer, and the Polians should all be packing their bags and leaving tomorrow. This is absolutely embarrassing to watch. Time to clean house and start over.

Seriously, I don't understand why some people want to give the GM a pass here after this season

I want to know why some are giving Caldwell a pass. The coaching staff is an absolute joke. The front office is just as big of a joke right now.

(just so you know I wasn't giving caldwell one or saying he wasn't responsible)

(I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about other people that I've heard that from. Just so you know.)

Gotcha.

I think anyone in the FO having a part in building or organizing this team's current state should be held accountable here

0-9, over half way there. Please fire everyone and start all over. Time to completely rebuild this team, Wayne and Mathis are free agents, let them walk.

Winning seasons?

You think it may have been a vols player... But I never saw many jets or chiefs fans... Or patriots.... Nor cowboys.

Same reason you're a vols fan.....

On this board colt fans out number titan fans.

I never understand why some of you Titans fans care so much about why people are Colts fans. You all are way too concerned about why some on here pull for a certain team.

Do you live in Tennessee? Could you imagined being surrounded by bama fans... Soley because they are good... The colts have stumped us year after year.. It gets annoying that since I root for the home team that I get to hear all about the colts all week.... It's been a joy this year.... So far.
