Lofton is expected back for Tuesdays visit from LSU (13-9, 2-6). He was available for emergency duty last week and was a "game-time decision" before Saturdays 94-78 loss at No. 1 Florida, according to Pearl.
"He has run, hes shot, and hes in condition and when he comes back, hell play 20-25 minutes," said Pearl, who added, "We have played without him, and now playing back with him, there will be challenges with that. That would be a challenge that I relish."
... Ellis message was for the rest of the league was to watch out for Tennessee when Lofton returns.
That includes defending national champion Florida, which visit Thompson-Boling Arena for a Feb. 27 rematch.
"Itll be a different game in Knoxville," Ellis said. "It will be still a tough game, but itll be a different game with Lofton healthy, your home crowd.
"They can give Florida a run."
