I've already posted this 3 times, but it's worth repeating . . . Cliff Ellis might be the worst color analyst I've ever heard. Between the bad jokes, stupid cliches and actually singing at one point, he sounded like what I would envision happening if Terry Bradshaw and Dick Vitale ever had a child.

Yeah, he was extremely lame.

Just for the record, I never said that I was glad Brewer got hurt, I just think that he probably should have been out of the game at that point.

haha, as a sumner countian, I hope brewer is hurt, and I was hoping someone would take his head off on his goofy drives to the hole. :finger3: you brewer and humphrey!

FL had the better team, no doubt on their home floor they should beat us 10 out of 10 times. But the officiating was pathetic. What was the deal with the charge calls?? I was screaming at the TV during a 20 point blowout the calls were so insane.

I realize the home court in the SEC is gonna get you some calls, but there were many, many, many FL fouls that went uncalled. CBP looked like he was going to explode several times.

Cory Brewer has to be the most injury prone player in D1. That guy is an injury waiting to happen. And his coach leaves the starters in the last 2 mins of a blowout? I hope his knee is OK, but if it's not, there is only one person to blame.

We got beaten up inside. For example: rebound 21 to 40. Can you win the game like that?
It would have helped a little bit if they would have called the "over the back" fouls. Then it might have been more like 26-35. :p

what was wrong with duke crews? according to the announcers he wasn't 100%. i don't think he is injured but was he sick or something?
I think it was a stomach virus.

Oh please. A 20+ point lead for most of the game is luck? Just admit you got beat by a superior team.
:eek:k:superior i would not go that far" let the vols play there home game against the gators and then you might be able to call them a superior team over the vols this season..........

NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything Florida does is luck. As a Vol, I don't have to give them credit for anything, except publicly humiliating Ohio State.:eek:k:

If you want to make a few bucks, draw a stick figure on a piece of paper. Mail that drawing, with a return envelope to: University of Florida c/o Cory Brewer, Gainesville, FL. Brewer will certainly mail you some cash for his own portrait.

He's skinny.

On the issue of Florida's big mean being allowed to push your guys around a bit, this is what I've been saying on this board for over a year now. If you want to do well in the NCAA tournament, you have to be strong inside because, IMHO, the refs call tournament games a lot looser than regular season.

UT must work on recruiting big guys to go with these shooting guards you keep bringing in or you will be like Florida has been up until the last few years, one and done. It took Donovan a decade to figure out that he needed to focus his recruiting a lot more on the talented big guys out there and it is finally paying off for Florida. Hopefully, Pearl will see that sooner than later and get you some big men who are capable of pushing some people around.

Not really. What Pearl should be doing is teaching the big guys he has to just start lowering their shoulder and just moving the opposition out of their way on the way to the basket and committing offensive fouls and hope they don't get called, as is the case for Horford and Noah.

Also maybe he could teach his fans not to be so bitter when the Vols get beat by a much better team ...

I'm not bitter. Florida is the better team, and anyone here who is remotely observant is fully aware of that. That doesn't mean, of course, that I think UT has no chance in Knoxville with a (hopefully) healthy Lofton and a packed house getting inside Noah's head a bit.

LG is just fishing for more praise to be heaped on the almighty Gators, as if there was any doubt who the better team was yesterday, today, or tomorrow.

A chance? Like, one in a hundred?

More like one in a million.

So you're saying I got a chance!

We'll see.Your turning into a "normal gator fan" LG, all mouth.:whistling:

?

Look, the difference between arrogant and confident is that confident people can back up their arrogance. And right now, Florida fans are quite confident.

LMAO @ fans being able to back up anything. You're not on the field/court. You can't back up anything.

Do I stand corrected or were there alot of (no call)elbows thrown gaining offensive position underneath the basket at least that is what it semed like whenever the Gators were down low.I think they call them at TBA and we can expect a different kind of game then.

3 observations

1. It had no affect on the outcome of the game, but thought calls favored Florida.

2. I think Pearl's handling of the Refs might be responsible for some of this.

3. Wouldn't change Pearl, because he gets his guys to play. I was pleased with effort our guys put out, they were just over-matched.

Want to see UT get revenge when Lofton returns.
