Yeah, he was extremely lame.I've already posted this 3 times, but it's worth repeating . . . Cliff Ellis might be the worst color analyst I've ever heard. Between the bad jokes, stupid cliches and actually singing at one point, he sounded like what I would envision happening if Terry Bradshaw and Dick Vitale ever had a child.
Just for the record, I never said that I was glad Brewer got hurt, I just think that he probably should have been out of the game at that point.
It would have helped a little bit if they would have called the "over the back" fouls. Then it might have been more like 26-35.We got beaten up inside. For example: rebound 21 to 40. Can you win the game like that?
I think it was a stomach virus.what was wrong with duke crews? according to the announcers he wasn't 100%. i don't think he is injured but was he sick or something?
Its all ok, cause tonight a Gator goes down to the most successfull Vol of all time:dance2:On the issue of Florida's big mean being allowed to push your guys around a bit, this is what I've been saying on this board for over a year now. If you want to do well in the NCAA tournament, you have to be strong inside because, IMHO, the refs call tournament games a lot looser than regular season.
UT must work on recruiting big guys to go with these shooting guards you keep bringing in or you will be like Florida has been up until the last few years, one and done. It took Donovan a decade to figure out that he needed to focus his recruiting a lot more on the talented big guys out there and it is finally paying off for Florida. Hopefully, Pearl will see that sooner than later and get you some big men who are capable of pushing some people around.
Not really. What Pearl should be doing is teaching the big guys he has to just start lowering their shoulder and just moving the opposition out of their way on the way to the basket and committing offensive fouls and hope they don't get called, as is the case for Horford and Noah.On the issue of Florida's big mean being allowed to push your guys around a bit, this is what I've been saying on this board for over a year now. I'm not bitter. Florida is the better team, and anyone here who is remotely observant is fully aware of that. That doesn't mean, of course, that I think UT has no chance in Knoxville with a (hopefully) healthy Lofton and a packed house getting inside Noah's head a bit.
Do I stand corrected or were there alot of (no call)elbows thrown gaining offensive position underneath the basket at least that is what it semed like whenever the Gators were down low.I think they call them at TBA and we can expect a different kind of game then.opcorn:
