true... but Caldwell's td drops made up for it. I think they taught him to gator chomp the ball at florida.

It was the correct call given the replay. If the DB wouldn't have pushed him out, he wouldn't have gotten both feet in.

Pointless at this stage, the Colts won.

I hate the force out rule. What are the defenders supposed to do, just stand there and watch the receiver catch it? Silly

I hate to say it, but Gafney had that play, it was the correct call. But regardless, it doesn't matter.

I agree, if the QB wants to hang his guys out in a position to be pushed out, tough on them.

That was a great catch and they had several great angles of it to make sure everything happened for it to be a catch. Great play in a great game.

Someway... somehow, God has to payback Gaffney for that "catch" in 2000. Even though the Pats lost, I'm not satisfied that Gaffney has been paid in full yet.

They both have those bugged-out eyes.

And that's pretty much where the resemblance ends. I would post comparison pics, but I'm too lazy.

I wanted the Pats too lose today, but I'm sorry that Jabar and Andre had their seasons ended.

I never said it extended beyond their eyes. That's all I've ever noticed, how similar their eyes are.

Don't worry. Next year with the Pats in the super bowl with 5 seconds left down 5, Brady will pass to Gaffney who catches it obviously in the end zone and holds it tightly for 20 seconds, but under review, the refs rule it hit the ground.

That good enough. :p

It is pointless, but I thought his right foot was on the line before he went up. I don't think they ever discussed the right replay, though. The only angle in which you could really see was the first one they showed, I believe from the goal post cam from above shooting right down the line, and I don't think they ever showed it beginning before the catch. It was the only angle where you could see his heels before he went up.

IMO, one of the dumbest rules in pro football.

In the 2001 game in Gainesville that we won 34-32 and Gaffney had a chance to catch the tying two point conversion, but had to give one of our DBs a piggy back ride through the endzone made me feel a little better about the "catch" in 2000.

They did eventually show him from earlier in the play running across the back of the endzone, in bounds the whole time, before eventually standing on the tips of his feet with his heels in the air before making the catch.
