But but but our insiders said we have nothing to worry about. This kid has tons of pressure to stay in michigan. He is not a lock by any means.

Dudes a Vol. Maybe you will believe it after he commits. Until then, have fun pace jr.

Because common sense tells you that if he wanted to go to Michigan and that is "heart is there" like some have suggested then he would've already committed while all of his "buddies" were pressuring him. He has not said one thing to change that TN is his leader.

He cleared up in his last interview the fact that he does have a commitable offer from Michigan. If that was what he 'always wanted all along' then he would have committed to Michigan already. I think he feels some pressure to stay at the home state school but that he much prefers UT if you take the 'home school' factor out of the equation. He is going to go where he is most comfortable which appears to be UT.

Would the same "common sense" not tell you if he was ALL VOL as so many seem to think he would have commited? Kinda goes both ways. When exactly was he quoted as saying TN is his leader?

Looks like we're still the team to beat, but people who say things like "nothing to worry about" are being a little too pollyannaish.

Nope, most kids, especially that are in a state that breathes football, will wait to make their announcement. Would you want to go through your entire senior year of HS hearing crap if you shunned the state school. And I'm sure you are going to say, what about Santos, what about McNeil, etc... Those kids are from rich talent states. They are just a fish in a big pond. O'Brien is a big fish in a little pond in Michigan.

Common sense also says if they didnt have a spot for him he couldnt commit :)

Pipkins was their first choice. They still dont know if they have room for him yet so its really a numbers game on if Michigan can take him.

I want to say Vol but our track record with DTs really has me holding back on this one for now.

If you can't take a lil trash talk from the locals....you will never make it in the SEC. There is ALOT more saying that Michigan is slow playing him...than he is just staying quiet to satisfy the locals. JMO

It's already been said that he has a commitable offer. And I'm sure a kid that wants to enjoy his senior year of HS equates to not being able to play in the SEC. That's a classic even by your standard.

What about them? They had legitimate interest in other programs but said we lead the whole time, and guess what we did lead the whole time. The only leader he has ever mentioned was TN. When he says Michigan leads, I will worry.

Chill out. my point was that they could have committed at any point to rid themselves of instate pressure. but they didn't and they still chose instate

The kid has not made up his mind yet....it is that simple. Let it go and let the process unfold.

People who have this mentality are going to have some very miserable lives following recruiting :)

People who have that mentality follow recruiting all the time.

Anything can happen, good or bad all the way up till signing day.

There will always be surprises.
