Starters That Kiffin Recruited

Nope. I would be in favor of his playing because a) a redshirt senior QB is more ready to play, typically, than a true sophomore; and b) I think he's as or more talented than Bray.
Considering Bray is already better, I'm not sure what you're basing that on.

Option A: Player is better, and he has more time to improve.
Option B: Player clearly couldn't handle the top level, and he's on his way out.

I can see why you have a tough time figuring out which is the smart option.

I want to know what you know that the NFL scouts don't know.

Please, do tell.

And please explain Option B.

Walter Peyton couldn't handle the top level, obviously. Nor Steve McNair. If anything, it is a knock on Fulmer as Clawson wanted to start Coleman. Coleman is now on every NFL watch list. Meanwhile, the jury is still a long way out on Bray by any serious commentator.

This thread will be a treasure for the "reality based community" for a long time to come. We have seen exactly how  the Kiffin kiddies are.

Uh, no they didn't actually.

Game, Set, and Match.

Daniel Hood
Marsalis Teague
J Schofield
Tyler Bray
Channing Fugate
Zach Fulton
Jawuan James
Michael Palardy

All but one. However, if we're not giving credit to Kiff for recruits that originally committed to him does Fulmer get credit for Schofield

Scoreboard.

All of those guys committed to Kiffin.

Well, there were only three that actually committed to Kiff in the first place, but hell, I said I'd throw you a bone.

Remind me who was the coach on National Signing Day, and when was NSD? I refer to your post above.

Kiffin Kiddies - your desperation is somewhat endearing. Keep holding up that superminority. Keep swimming against the currents. It will make you strong.

:eek:lol:

Here's a more accurate depiction of what the OP was getting at:

Starters recruited exclusively by Fulmer and staff (23%)
Poole
Thomas
Martin
A. Johnson
Waggner

Starters recruited exclusively by Kiffin and staff (18%)
Bray
Fugate
James
Fulton

Starters recruited exclusively by Dooley and staff (23%)
Rivera
Jackson (yes...transfer or not this player was absolutely recruited to come here by Dooley and Thompson)
Maggitt
Coleman
Brewer

Starters recruited by some combination of the 3 staffs (32%)
Hunter (Kiffin/Dooley)
Rogers (Kiffin/Dooley)
Stone (Kiffin/Dooley)
Smith (Fulmer/Kiffin/Dooley)
Hood (Fulmer/Kiffin)
AJ Johnson (Kiffin/Dooley)
Teague (Fulmer/Kiffin)

Starter who approached Dooley and staff about transferring here (4%)
Bullard (not sure why this woulnd't count for Dooley but whatever)

Dooley had all or some part in landing 11 of our starters....Kiffin had all or some part in landing 11....Fulmer had all or some part in landing 8

Pretty much what you would expect when a team has had 3 coaches over the span of 4 recruiting classes

We're talking about committments, not when they signed. They all committed, minus Schofield, when Kiffin was here.

I do not like Kiffin and there is no desperation on my part. Keep pimping Fulmer as our one and only savior.

Scoreboard.

But Schofield is not starting.

My goodness the gobbling of the POS is mind boggling.

It's like touting the virtues of the criminal that robbed your home. "Hey, I know he took the TV, all the money and anything of value but he left the microwave. He's a great guy".

I know. That puts one Fulmer recruit, two Kiffin recruits, one Dooley recruit, and a Dooley transfer as our starting OL.

Damn that Lane Kiffin.

No one should be saying damn lane kiffin. But Dooley's kids are a year younger than Kiffin's class and he still has as many or more starters. So Coach Dooley's recruiting classes are contributing more and are more valuable than the guys Lane pulled in, most of which are no longer with us.

Okay.

So what we've learned from this thread is that all 3 coaching staffs that we have had over the last 4 recruiting cycles have had a hand (a nearly evenly distributed hand) in bringing in the members of our starting lineup...

In other news...water is wet, the sky is blue, wind is windy, the sun is bright, bullets travel fast.....yada, yada, yada

Like I said . . . The shtick is old.

Oh, I concur. Absolutely.

The fact is, even considering the EEs as Kiffin's (which no one has to do, but hey, I'm being merciful these days) Kiffin's recruits are sorely under-represented in our starting line-up.

Dooley has done much more with less, as I said from week two.

Moreover, it would become a debacle for Kiffin were several former Vols (and more than a few former recruits) still here and wearing the Big Orange.

The shtick that's old is the one that keeps denying the real world outside the back door and in doing so rushing to defend the indefensible.

That shtick is always and will always be old.

I'd just like to point out that gibbs has officially put B.J. Coleman in the same discussion as Walter Payton and Steve McNair. If anyone ever finds themselves arguing with gibbs, just think back to this. He compared B.J. Coleman to Walter Payton.

To gibbs,

Actually, I didn't, but when does the real world matter to a bunch of Kiffin Kiddies? I asked yet another question you have all dodged. Were McNair and Payton not ready for the big time? Obviously, according to acolytes like yourself.

As we have seen ad infinitum dodging the real world is par for candle-lighting acolytes. Meanwhile, some real world outside the back door is biyotch slapping the candles out of your hands:

Put these six college sleepers on your 'NFL watch list' - NFL - Sporting News

Keep dodging and wipe your nose, kiddies. It's all you got. (Hell, I could have thrown in Jerry Rice too).

Walter Payton tried to get into an SEC school. The SEC wasn't fond of black players in those days. Between his final 2 years, he scored 66 touchdowns.

Steve McNair chose to go to Alcorn because he was being recruited as a defensive back, though he wanted to be a QB. He scored 53 touchdowns his senior year.

They were ready for the NFL. Boleman isn't.

:lolabove:

B.J. Coleman*|*Tennessee-Chattanooga,*QB*:*2012 NFL Draft Scout Player Profile

Went 20-39 for 210 yards, one TD and no picks at [National Champion] Auburn. Coleman threw for 2,996 yards in 2010 with 26 touchdowns

Tell me more, Kiffin Kiddie.

Will Coleman get drafted? As you like to say: Yes or No.

Can't evade this one. The only thing you have in your favor is I will probably forget your answer since I could care a shizzle.

But get it in the record anyway.
