Just wanted to stop by and update you on Nate's season.

Last night Bartram Trail played Mandarin HS, a team from Jacksonville, in a preseason game. Peterman was 9 of 22 passing for 208 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He wasn't helped by his teammates, who dropped five passes, including two that would have been scores.

There was also one TD pass that was called back by a penalty.

He only played though the first half and a portion of the 3rd quarter.

He easily could have had 4 or 5 TD passes if his guys had caught the ball. He left the game with a 20-7 lead.

Bartram Trail starts its season next week at Nease, Tim Tebow's old high school. I'll let you know how Nate does.

I'll be posting Nate's game results and some observations each week after the game.

Your team is not just getting a good football player, but a good kid as well.

damn

Gator Deputy, you're making me uncomfortable. It's way too close to football season for me to start having any kind of positive emotions for opposing fans. It's time to start hatin'!

Having said that, thanks for the info. It's nice to know the kid is so well thought of. And nice of you to take the time to let us know.

Goo.....Goo.....Gooo....Good job deputy. Dang killed me to say that to a gator fan. Thanks

I think you should wait until the end of this season before you say that. If Bray bombs this year, then I don't see why the competition isn't opened back up again. Nothing is guaranteed right now. We HOPE he will be good, but nothing is certain. However, if he does have the starting job on lockdown, then that's a great thing for our program. But I don't think anyone should ever be assumed the starter at any point in time, anybody can get passed up.

Nothing is certain. However saying the QB competition will be interesting next year is an enormous reach.
