Boy was I wrong about him wanting to block. 13 pancakes in 2010 and got two guys on one play. He had one ball thrown out of bounds that he caught maybe 12' in the air and he made it look effortless. And yes, the QB needs to tighten up.
I saw the T with the 18 on the back (they've showed it a couple of times). But the stupid video thing cut off right at the start of the video of the announcement to tell me I needed to click the thing to watch some more and I missed it. I hope they post it online somewhere.
After the tongue lashing she gave Sab the other day, I figured MZTERRY was either Croom's mom or a close aunt. Just made sense for a momma bear to be protecting her cub.
MZTERRY, I hope you always keep in mind that no one of us represents Vol nation as a whole. There will always be someone who disagrees with you or makes your butt itch(I liked that, lol). We are a very rabid fanbase and we love our football and our Vols. The tough times we've faced over the past several years has left us with a lot of hurt. We take our football personally. In the end though, we are a family. A dysfuctional family, but a family nonetheless. Thank you for joining our family and thank Jason for joining us as well. I hope his days in Big Orange Country bring him lots of joy and success.
If MZTERRY does not identify himself/herself by next Friday, I will be glad to do the dirty work for him/her.
Keep A Readin' Each Night.![]()
This was my post a while back (#1349). I am glad to see MZTERRY identify herself.
I have known who she was for quite a while. I once posted something where I said "...Karen, er MZTERRY" in this thread a long time ago. It had something to do with her posting on Mich St.'s 24/7 site. As a result, she PM'd me.
MZTERRY is Karen Croom Terry. In the quote above, I sorta referenced it in the post "Keep A Readin' Each Night". Each of the first letters spells out Karen.
I could have posted her identity many times but did not. This was due to her request which I honored.
I have no insiders or sources, therefore I read a whole lot more than I post. This was the one chance I had to add something of value to the board, but chose not to due to Karen's request. Being an "old" guy, I know there are a lot more important things in life than beating someone to the punch. Therefore, I would never make it in the media.
I want to share a couple of my reasons for remaining quiet. First, Karen asked me to. It was her son who we were talking about. I did not want to spoil her and/or Jason's moment of glory. (Although posting her identity is different from posting inside information as to Jason's choice which I was not privy to.) Secondly, I am VLF. Not personally knowing Karen and Jason, I did not want to possibly jeopardize the Vols picking up a prize recruit by upsetting them with an inane post. While I doubt that Karen would have been upset enough for it to make a difference, I did not want to jeopardize a possible commitment.
This is a lot different from Sab posting information that he had obtained. I, for one, appreciate his contributions to this site. Sab posted what he heard from his sources. It's a lot like Skeeter and his info. Sab contributed to the board with his info ---the big thing here is there was no request for him to refrain from doing so. I understand Karen's point of view concerning his posts; but Karen, you need to understand that without this type of information, this board would not be what it is. It would be relatively dull around here. Posts like Sab's are just part of the recruiting game these days...right, wrong or indifferent.
Now, with all that said, I want everyone to take time to consider the possible consequences of what their post(s) may bring. Without naming names, there are a lot of negative posters on here. Remember that recruits, their families, and/or friends may be on the site trying to gauge the temperament of the school and its fans. And it may affect recruiting, and not in a positive way.
Enough of my diatribe. Welcome aboard Jason and Karen. GBO!
I'm being nice from what I'm really wanting to say. lol believe me, but I'm on such a good high tonight... nothing can steal my joy and happiness...
FYI: Naw bruah.... u do not want to be on my bad side. There's no gray area with me.
Mama Croom might be my new favorite poster on this board.
Welcome to the VolNation..glad to have your son on board :loco:
Sab.... here's my request from you. Let's call it OVER at this point. I don't care for your tactics. DO NOT contact my son ever again. Thank you for respecting that request. I have thousands of pics of my kids; especially that one. we appreciate what you've done thus far.... I've kept a copy of your FB pic just in case; thank you for welcoming Croomster to the VOL family.
Now become a distant cousin.
MZTERRY
How did you become a Vol fan? It is evident that you have been orange blooded for quite a while.
Also, I told you a couple of weeks ago that I would not watch the announcement but that Jason should choose UT because he would have the opportunity to play for Charlie Badgett, Jim Chaney, and Derrick Dooley. I also said that UT would give him the best opportunity to come back to his hometown to play in the SEC Championship game.
Sometimes there seems to be a lot of drama in these recruiting wars and the emotions muddy the waters when a young man is making one of the most important decisions in his life. But if the recruit sticks to the facts then he will make the right decision.
Congratulations to you and JCrooms on becoming Volunteers for Life. I can't wait to see his impact in Chaney's offense.
God be with you and Jason.

Thank you so much.
I became a UT fan back int he 80's when I was in high school. I visited too as a recruit. I used to play basketball and ran track.... Croomster athleticism comes from me and his father.Like most young girls in love and marrying Croomsters dad early.... I ended up staying in Michigan for college......
I used to love Univ of Michigan too
